Repost from Temple of Zen
I noticed few people with large audience are propagating that smoking is good for your health.
I don’t know what is the scientific evidence behind it. And I don’t even intend to find it.
I won’t go into how does it impact your health but I can confirm its bad because I have smoked for almost 8 years and it wasn’t doing any good to me.
If you cant wake up without a cigarette, sleep without a cigarette, poop without a cigarette, focus without a cigarette, enjoy without a cigarette.
Cigarettes are bad for you. No matter what ‘chad gooroos’ say .
If you smoke may be its time to stop. If you don’t its better to not start.
🤍
P.S Yes i know if you roll your own tobacco and do this and that and what not it is better than commercial cigarettes. But do you really have time for all that ? There are other ways to improve your health. So you can drop the charade.

remove curtains first thing in morning, lets in sunlight, isntant vitamin D and trains your circadian rhythym to get on track the right way: more energy during the day, your internal clock is sit, energy used up right before bed, sleep better

To find happiness, don't just work toward fixing your insufficiencies.
You'll never find happiness because you'll always have insufficiencies.
To find happiness, work toward becoming a better version of yourself.
Even though there will always be the possibility of becoming better, you will find happiness because you'll be driven by passion, not by the the fear of your insufficiencies.

Another important tip:
Switch on all lights when you wake up. If it hurts your eyes, switch them on one at a time. It will help you get out of your bed.

Good Morning Based People
Stop using a fucking alarm clock. It disturbs your mental state.
"Oh but you can't wake up without it"
I woke up at 5:30 today, without it. And unless I slept late, I always wake up before 7. That's good enough to get all my work done and get the morning sun.
A great guy I met online tried this for a few days... and he has gotten massive results from it.
He's more at peace than before. Even more important - he's now able to work for 2-3 hours with focus. I didn't even know that not using an alarm clock was one of the reasons I could work for long - but it makes sense.
So, try it out for a few days.
First and foremost, sleep with the intent of waking up on time.
Then, ask someone to wake you up 15 mins after you should be up - if you don't wake up on your own.
Once you manage to wake up without an alarm clock... slowly try to push back the wake up time.

And after you read it, I have a question for you.
Do you want more content around similar topics, like:
- Skill development
- Online skill monetization
- Content creation
I can't take you from 0 to 100 or 1 to 100. But I can take you from 0 to 1. And I can explain the basics better than the experts... cause I am closer to you in the journey.
Drop you answer in the poll below (and any content suggestions you may have)

4 months back, I made $900 in a week and a half.
Doing work I enjoy - writing threads for a ghostwriter.
I know, it’s not life-changing money. But it was a lot for me. It’s almost 3 times the average salary of college graduates in India.
15 months ago, when I dropped out of college, I didn’t plan on doing that. Neither did I expect it. And this is just a part of the opportunities I have gotten - even though I started with nothing but a laptop and internet.
None of this was planned.
None of this could have been planned.
But I know for a fact that all of it can be done again.
So, I reverse-engineered how I started with nothing and ended up with life-changing opportunities.
And I came up with a process you can replicate.
In today's newsletter, I am gonna share it with you.

Power of the mind
The power of the mind is astoundingly fascinating, time and time again. You must’ve noticed the following, somewhat, with minor differences, here and there. But every SINGLE time, after an intense session of: either a run, or workout, or yoga, or meditation, or just a very long walk, in the sun, near or in nature, or near the beach and close to the sea, or deep into the forest. I’m talking minimum an hour, and bare minimum 30 minutes. When you’ve done this immersion, with this minimum threshold of intensity. You notice the world becomes much brighter. Your vision changes. “Changes”. The light seems more sharp, the colors more intense. It’s as if you’re more sensitive to the light. And all your other senses are sharper, too. The sounds you hear are more crisp. It’s funny, and it reminds me of this Musashi quote:
“Truth is not what you want it to be; it is what it is. And you must bend to its power or live a lie.”
Before the session, you’re living a lie. That’s it in a nutshell. And once you go through the session (the workout/run/meditation/yoga, etc), you break through the lie, and crack open the enclosing, this shell of reality. Break through this barrier, and you see reality for what it was ALL ALONG. Because that’s the logic of it, and that was what struck me, as funny, Wait a minute - reality didn’t change. I DID. And for that moment, My MIND did. The power of the mind is fascinating. Mind control is. And merely with a glimpse from another perspective, a shift, through another lense, or angle, and you see reality for what it is. And in this abundant, crisp and clean and clear landscape, suddenly so much more options present themselves as available; and mind you, these options were always available, they always are, you just didn’t see them, you weren’t able to, because your judgment and mind were too clouded.

Something I have been observing lately:
The largest growth come from the strongest foundations. And those foundations take time to build. Let me explain.
In the last few days, I have finally started to lose a good amount of fat. But for that to work, I had to build muscles for over a year. I had to boost up my metabolism. It didn't just come from cardio or High intensity workouts.
Same goes for getting clients for my new agency. All of our clients are coming from our network. And they came because me and my partner have been learning and practicing for months and years.
Now in attempts to blow up our agency, we're first focusing on building strong foundations with existing clients - learning all we can while we're still very small. After that, it's all about compounding.
Of course, success is never guaranteed in any field. We might fail with our agency... who knows. But the agency in itself will become a foundations.
At the core of it, it's all about perfecting whatever you're doing rn so it can act as a strong base. Weak foundations don't last.
