*** Things I heard for the first time I came to an education centre where I work now: - toq/juft kunlari - "nol" dan guruh - "tezlashtirilgan" guruh - "olishlari" qanday (parents) - "men tez 7+ olishim kerak, general English ga vaqtim yo'q"(mostly business men lar yoki yaqinda get married bo'ladigan qizlar) - " individual o'tmaysizmi? Ko'proq o'rganardim"(aslida ko'proq zerikadi) - "qattiqqo'l o'qituvchi"(mostly tayog'i bor. Lekin o'rgatgan narsasi... I always say students are not sheep. They understand if they are sensible enough. If they are not, there is no way you can teach them a language) More later...

*** I hate when teachers use "Mr. / Miss" with their names. Why is it necessary?

*** He will be a better person if he - stops collecting books and actually starts reading - learns to ignore nonsense and hypocrisy - overcomes his ego - never feels comfortable with his current position in life and pushes his limits to improve...

*** How long does it take to truly call yourself a teacher? Or you think it is not the question of time? I often come across people who can confidently say they are teachers but they have recently started their career. By contrast, there are some who have been teaching for a loooong time without making much difference in students' educational goals. These people are also referred as teachers.

*** Someday everybody reaches a point where the quote "Never Give Up" no longer motivates them. Then they need to find another source of motivation that is powerful enough to keep them on track. Or they just make an easy choice and go with the flow.

*** If you want to check how brave and confident you are about what you believe, just drop a post about a controversial topic. Will you stand firmly by your position or delete the post to avoid arguments? I know a lot of bloggers who post something thought-provoking and delete it after a heated discussion. Whether or not free speech is protected is also important here, I admit.

How on earth people believe these bullshit scam messages? Are people that naive enough to believe that they can make easy money this way? It doesn't take rocket science to understand that they might be victims of scammers as well as getting others involved. Ironically, those who are sending me these work at university. One of them works in "International Ties" department.

"Innovation" in English language testing. "Yangi" formatdagi gapirish ko'nikmasini tekshiradigan tizimda afzallik va kamchliklarini gapirish talab etiladi deyilibdi, lekin shu "keng qamrovli jahon standardlariga mos fikrlash" bilan hamma narsani ham "afzallik va kamchliklari" bo'lmasligi, balki biror bir narsaning sabablari va shular bilan bog'liq kelajakdagi ehtimoliy muammolar, yechimlarni yoritishni ham o'ylash kerakligi butun "ilmiy kengash" ning hayoliga kelmaganligi qiziq. Umuman, yangi tizimda faqatgina "innovative" tarzda speaking ni tekshiradigan "rasm tasvirlash" qismi dunyo tan oladigan IELTS imtihonidan farq qilib turibdi. Agar speakingni kimlar tekshirishini hisobga olsak, yangi tizim ham eskisiday ishlayveradi.

*** On Telegram I reached a point where I don't get bothered by countless stories posted on a daily basis. I thought I would be too distracted but it never happened. You know how I did it? Got busy. Luckily, I don't have Instagram account. People say Telegram copied stories feature from that platform.
