| 3 |  Most on-chain yield depends on the crypto market itself. The bulk of it funds leverage for trading, so it rises and falls with market sentiment. When the market turns, the yield goes with it.
Institutional lending on the XRP Ledger works differently. The yield comes from fintechs and payment companies that borrow RLUSD for working capital, settled on XRPL, paying interest on credit they actually use.
And because every loan is denominated in RLUSD, the model compounds: more credit deepens the market, and a deeper market supports more credit. That is the flywheel.
