*20 SUSPECTS ARRESTED OVER JAMB HACKING OF 2025 JAMB RESULT* The Department of State Services (DSS) and Nigerian Police have arrested 20 suspects in Abuja linked to a major cybercrime syndicate responsible for hacking the 2025 JAMB Computer-Based Test (CBT) results. Over 100 individuals are believed to be part of the network, which also targeted NECO servers across Nigeria. The suspects confessed to manipulating scores for wealthy candidates and intentionally sabotaging the CBT system to discredit JAMB and discourage its use in future WAEC and NECO exams. The syndicate used malicious software to take remote control of CBT center systems, scrambling questions and answers to distort the results of honest candidates. They also deployed rogue routers near CBT centers to override official systems and provide real-time answers to candidates who paid between ₦700,000 and ₦2 million. This cyberattack led to widespread failure among innocent students, while the syndicate made millions. Arrests have been made in multiple states including Lagos, Edo, Anambra, Kano, and Delta. Authorities are withholding suspects’ identities ahead of formal court proceedings.

(d) Countershading is an adaptive feature in Tilapia where the coloration of their upper body is darker than their lower body. This helps them blend in with the water when viewed from above, making it difficult for predators to spot them. However, when viewed from below, their lighter lower body matches the lighter water surface, providing camouflage. This adaptation enhances their survival by reducing the likelihood of predation in their natural freshwater habitats.

(ii) It occurs in green plants, algae, and some protists. (iii) It requires chlorophyll to absorb sunlight. (iv) Oxygen is released as a by-product during the process. -Chemosynthetic Nutrition- (PICK ANY TWO) (i) It uses energy derived from chemical reactions (e.g., oxidation of inorganic substances like ammonia or hydrogen sulfide). (ii) It occurs in some bacteria, especially those found in extreme environments like hydrothermal vents. (iii) It does not require chlorophyll. (iv) It does not release oxygen as a by-product.
