Woke up late today... but let's get started with today's sessions! Gonna do 2-3 study/work sessions, around four hours each. Found this awesome website to track my time and make it a bit more fun—it's called crackboard.dev. It's a VSCode and Neovim extension that tracks your coding time, languages, and all that good stuff. Plus, it gives you a rank based on how ‘cracked’ of a dev you are.
I'm about to start, currently sitting at around #267. Hoping to hit the top 20-30 today and push even harder tomorrow.
If you wanna join the challenge, let's go! 🔥

Dang, videos like this really give me hope for the Ethiopian content industry. I've been thinking lately that the only Amharic videos or audios I listen to are mostly spiritual content and podcasts. Beyond that, there's almost no content that resonates with me or feels worth watching—at least in my opinion. We really need to work hard on this. Almost 90% of the content I consume is in English, it's my wish that this would motivate film makers and content creators to give something worth watching at least even if it doesn't provide value

Grok isn’t trash—you just need to find the right way to use it. It’s been super helpful lately for finding tweets, asking for context, and summarizing threads. Honestly, I’m a big fan of it at this point! 🔥

I can't stand my laptop screen . it has this weird layer, like a plastic film or sth, and the colors are way off. It looks so strange, especially when I'm designing or coding. The difference is huge when I send my work to someone else. it doesn’t even come close to how it should look. Might be time to get a monitor or change this one.

So, my brother and I are working on this SaaS product that’s all about making life easier for solo freelancers. The whole idea is to fix the headaches around communication, project management, and file organization—basically streamlining everything in one place for both the freelancer and their clients.
Here’s how it works: as a freelancer, you’ll set up a unique dashboard for each client. Your clients will be able to see project milestones, files you’ve shared, tasks you’re working on or have completed, and even things like FAQs and reviews. Plus, there’s built-in chat, feature request tracking, and even analytics to keep everything clear and organized.
This isn’t designed for teams or agencies; it’s for solo freelancers who are sick of juggling client conversations across ten different social media apps and getting overwhelmed by all the back-and-forth. With this platform, everything—invoices, contracts, assets, and more—is centralized, making client communication and project management way smoother and less chaotic.

Repost from Chapi Dev Talks
Hi everyone I have been discussing to organize dev meetup version 3 with the organizers, who is up for it? 😁
so looking back our last event, it was really amazing and I hope everyone had a great time what really made it special was the hard work of all the organizers, especially in managing sponsorships and we are happy the outcome was great.
but this time we all are quite busy and tbh, since we hassled too much last time we’re hoping to avoid handling sponsorships ourselves this time, we all have a lot on our plate
so me and other organizers are thinking to make it a half day event, but if there is anyone here who would like to sponsor or can help secure sponsorships to make the event happen we’d love to have you so feel free to comment here, we might also need some volunteers if it is even a half day event so let us know here

FYI (no idea how this happened or whose fault it is).
Here’s the deal: I can’t stand YouTubers making ‘make production-grade’ apps with tools like Bolt or Windsurf in clickbait videos. They don’t know the difference between an MVP and real production quality, and they rely on tools like Firebase or Vercel without realizing how easily they could spike up charges from silly mistakes.

you're out here flexing your 600-day Duolingo streak like you just conquered the Olympics, while this guy casually picks up his 600th language and starts communicating in a month 😂. jokes aside .. is duolingo worth it .. i mean 've seen a lot of folks trying to learn a language on Duolingo and failing .

If people are the owners or the ones taking responsibility, there must be a pattern, trick, or method to figure out the formula for anything, right? It's doable, I guess.
