We have visited north of the Charkiv region, the villages that are close to the border with russia. This territory was in the war zone and under constant fire for several months until the middle of September. Even now, when the territory had been already deoccupied, it is periodically shelled. Слатине / Slatyne village. During this trip to the village it had been already snowing, we’ve seen the scale of destruction and the conditions in which people live or try to survive. Local people suffer from the absence of electricity and heating, there is still no gas in the village, no mobile connection and internet, their houses completely or partially destroyed. 🔵 We start working on the restoration of roofs in Charkiv region. Together with Kharpproject we want to help people, going hand-in-hand to one goal. Winter is coming soon and people need even more help in rebuilding houses that were damaged because of the shelling. By helping the citizens of the village to cover the roof, we not only provide them with warmth and dryness of the house, but also save their property. At the moment such support is very important for people whose house miraculously survived. Restored roof in Підгайне / Pidhajne village, Kyiv region. We previously showed that we brought slate to repair the roof of two sisters whose house was damaged during shelling. The work is finished and the house is ready for winter. When we first visited them, the women, despite looking at the destroyed roof, were making repairs inside by themselves. There was an old traditional stove in the house, which they also put in order. We want to show the oven in the main house and also in the summer kitchen, which is beautiful. There was a great desire to help them with repairing of the roof. When we first saw Tetiana, she was crying and said that she would probably never spend the winter in the house again, but we fixed it with the support of Ukraine TrustChain . All works are finished on the interior of granny Tetiana’s house in Загальці / Zahalci village, Kyiv region. Step by step, granny Tetiana is furnishing the house and moving personal belongings that survived after the shelling: she has already laid carpets on the floor, hung curtains on the windows and is slowly living in the house anew. Final steps of reconstruction were: A new stove with a pipe — ₴12000 Renovation of windows — ₴6000 Patching through holes in the wall — ₴4000 Plastering, painting and repair of interior walls and ceiling — ₴40000 Ceiling insulation — ₴8000 Repair and painting of the facade — ₴10000. All works are finished on the exterior of granny Tetiana’s house in Загальці / Zahalci village, Kyiv region. Previously, we wrote about the restored roof and the process of working inside the house. Granny’s house was badly damaged by the blast wave and was sharply cut by fragments from the aerial bomb, which flew around with incredible speed. The complex of works was performed at the same time. Thus, while the clay was drying, the builders put glass in the windows or installed ebbs.
