Job එකක් නැතුව, ඒත් active විදිහට job එකක් හොයමින් ඉන්න people ලාගේ percentage එක තමයි Unemployment Rate කියන්නේ. USA එකේ මුළු Labor Force එකෙන් (job කරන + job හොයන අය) කීයෙන් කීදෙනෙක් unemployed ද කියන එක මෙයින් පෙන්නනවා. මේකත් නිකුත් කරන්නේ USA Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) එකෙන්මයි.
🔹 මේක හැදෙන්නේ කොහොමද?
BLS එක household survey එකක් හරහා (Current Population Survey), දහස් ගණන් households වලින් සෑම මාසෙකම data එකතු කරනවා. ඒ අයගෙන් කවුද job කරන්නේ, කවුද job නැතුව active විදිහට හොයන්නේ කියලා අහලා, ඒ ප්රතිශතය calculate කරලා තමයි Unemployment Rate එක ගණනය කරන්නේ.
