Assalamualaikum wr wb,
It's sunnah to fast on Thursday 🫘
But... if you can't fast... what else can you do instead ?
- Make a small donation
- An act of kindness
- Send selawat to the Prophet s.a.w.
-Listen to Quran, an Islamic podcast or video
- Perform a sunnah prayer
- Dhikir
- Do something with the intention/for the sake of Allah s.w.t.
And lastly don't forget to smile, it's sunnah :)
May Allah make it easy for us, Amin

Dear Youths,
You're young, strong and full of fire which is exactly why it matters.
The Prophet ﷺ said:
"A youth who worships Allah will be under His shade on the day of Judgement"
Allah loves the one who stays firm when it's the hardest.
Be that youth,
The one that makes their youth days filled with Iman and Taqwa

Let go of your worries.
When it feels like there is no way out,
When there are no windows for you to open,
No doors for you to walk through..
Put your trust in Allah.
Let him guide you,
For He (Allah) opens doors that you can never see nor imagine (65:3)

i often watch stories of journalists meeting the childrens and families of 🍉, and all they said is “حسبنا الله ونعم الوكيل”.
and that, just crushes me apart, for they are being oppressed, yet they can still have the faith that, allah knows & allah is already suffice for them.
on the other hand, we kept on complaining on our foods not being tasty, yet they don’t even have any. our houses are not big enough, yet they don’t even have a brick to start with.
something for us to ponder upon. wallahu ‘alam bissawab. 💭

this month had taught me alot, from leaving my lovely internship to going for a two weeks trip with the people i have no clue of.
i thought that it would never be a problem for me when it’s all over. i thought that it is just a part parcel of life.
but i then realise that every single thing that is happening to us, whether it is good or bad, will eventually end.
everything will end, when the time comes. nothing stays and for that, we shouldn’t get too overly attached with the worldly things.
i do realise that i have attachment issues, but i am sure that better days will be coming soon!
many scholars too advised us, not to be overattached with the worldly creations! wallahu a’lam

Assalamualaikum , here's a tip for all my students !
Did you know learning is a form of ibadah ? Regardless of what you are learning , even if it is not relating to Islam (and even if what you are learning isnt taught by a fellow muslim) all forms of ilm comes from The Almighty !
So , before leaving your home, before stepping into class, before your lesson starts, make a niat that you are learning for the sake of Allah s.w.t. !
Bonus > If you make this niat and it is destined for you to pass away while you are learning (Allahu a'alam) then you will pass meeting the conditions of Syahid because you are doing ibadah ! Allahuakbar , isnt it beautiful just how Merciful Allah is ?

| Love |
Love is more than words. Love is more than an emoji. It demands reflection. It demands honesty. So I ask myself first;
What does loving the Prophet ﷺ truly mean to me?Is it just a cultural identity, or is it a way of life? Do I honor his name but ignore his teachings? Do I praise him publicly, but disobey him privately? If he ﷺ were to walk into my life right now, would he recognize me as part of his ummah? Would he be proud of the way I live, speak, and treat others? The Prophet ﷺ once said, “…and whoever does not follow my Sunnah has nothing to do with me…” These words should shake us. Because abandoning him doesn't always mean turning away in hatred. Sometimes it means forgetting him, replacing his guidance with trends, or ignoring his legacy in the quiet moments of our daily lives. But it’s not too late. Allah is Merciful, and the door to love is always open. We can begin again—right now. We can revive that love through action, not just affection. Start small: read his seerah, even a few pages a day. Practice one sunnah this week—perhaps how he smiled, how he forgave, or how he treated the poor. Fill your home with his remembrance. Let your children grow up hearing his name with reverence. Let your heart beat with loyalty to him. The Prophet ﷺ loved us before we ever existed. He wept for us in the night. He made du’a for us without seeing our faces. And even on the Day of Judgment, when every soul will cry “Myself, myself,” the Prophet will still be crying “My Ummah, my Ummah.” If that’s not love, what is? So let us respond to that love—not just with slogans or emotion—but with remembrance, action, and change. Let’s be people of salawat. Let’s be people of mercy. Let’s be people who walk through this world as if the Prophet ﷺ is walking beside us. When the world conforms, we choose conviction. And when they ask, ‘Where did you learn this?’ We say with pride, ‘Muhammad ﷺ.’ May Allah make our hearts firm upon his love. May He allow us to follow his path with sincerity. And may we drink from his blessed hand at the Hawd on the Day of Judgment, never to be thirsty again. اللهم صلِّ على محمد وعلى آل محمد، كما صليت على إبراهيم وعلى آل إبراهيم، إنك حميد مجيد.

From today's Khutbah on
Awal Muharram- Towards spiritual renewal
The khutbah for Awal Muharram reminds us that the new Islamic year is a chance for spiritual renewal. Inspired by the Prophet’s ﷺ Hijrah, we’re called to leave behind sins and distractions, and move towards faith and purpose just as he told Abu Bakr in the cave,
"Do not grieve, indeed Allah is with us" (Qur’an, At-Tawbah: 40).
It urges us to use our time wisely through worship and good deeds, and to let go of habits that distance us from Allah. The khutbah ends with a heartfelt dua:
“O Allah, replace our sins with rewards, and our worries with relief. Protect our brothers and sisters in Gaza, grant them peace, safety and strength.”
Muharram is a time to reset, renew our intentions, and turn back to Allah with sincerity and hope.
