He punched her from behind ‼️🔪 02/03 - An Iraqi man (32 y.o) with a German Passport stabbed a woman (22 y.o) who was on her way to work on Ermou Street. He stabbed her on her back multiple times, puncturing her lungs, diaphragm and breaking one rib, the woman recovered after a surgery and spending a lot of time in the ICU, her backpack is seen as what saved her from more fatal wounds. Commercial ships nearby "rescued" the illegal immigrants and they were shortly after handed over to the Greek Coast Guard ‼️ All 40 illegal immigrants are Egyptian, 12 of them claimed to be minors under the age of 15 and were transported to Heraklion, Crete

/GBG/ 💭 This strategy has been observed before by immigrants leaving Turkey and sailing to waters near cargo ship routes, forcing the ships to rescue them and hand them over to FRONTEX or the Greek Coast Guard. 💭 It is a clear exploitation strategy of current Search and Rescue conventions, urgent reform is needed to prevent illegal immigrants from forcing authorities to assist them in illegally entering the country
