Are you a researcher, practitioner, or scholar in the field of disability studies? The TISS Journal of Disability Studies and Research is now accepting submissions for our 2023 issues! We welcome original research, case comments, book reviews, and more on a variety of topics related to disability studies. Our sub-themes for 2023 include "Disability and Technology," "Disability and Education," and "Disability and Employment." The deadline for submitting a full paper for the December 2023 issue is August 30, 2023. All submissions must adhere to our guidelines, including a word limit of 5000-8000 words, referencing in APA 7th edition format, and a maximum of four authors. To submit your manuscript, please email it to vaishali@tiss.edu. Before submitting, please ensure that your manuscript meets our guidelines, which include: - All submissions and subsequent communications regarding the manuscript should be addressed to the chief editor by email at vaishali@tiss.edu. - Before the article goes for peer review, the following prerequisites must be met: a) the title and content of the article should meet the aim of the Journal, b) the word limit should be between 5000-8000 words, c) an abstract of up to 200 words should be included, d) referencing should be in APA 7th edition format as mentioned in our guidelines, and e) there should be a maximum of four authors. - The manuscript should not have been published elsewhere or selected/submitted for publication elsewhere. - The manuscript framework with title page/covering page should include the following details: a) complete manuscript title, b) declaration by author in covering letter with the article submitted is original and belongs to the author(s) and not published elsewhere, and c) details of the authors: names of author(s), email address and contact number for correspondence, and one-line author note for each author stating current designation and affiliation. - The funding involved in the preparation of the manuscript needs to be declared. In case no funding was received, the same should be stated as “This research received no specific grant from any funding agency in the public, commercial, or not-for-profit sectors”. If self-financed, it can be mentioned as Self-financed. - The authors of must disclose any and all conflicts of interest they may have with publication of the manuscript or an institution or product that is mentioned in the manuscript and continue /or is important to the outcome of the study presented. Authors should also disclose conflict of interest with products that compete with those mentioned in their manuscript. - The contact information of the corresponding author (name, address, phone, and email) shall be mentioned at the left corner of the first page after keywords. - All pages must be double-spaced (including notes and references) with margins measuring at least 1 inch. Use 12 point and Times New Roman font. The submission type must adhere to the word limit mentioned in the ‘Submission types admitted to the Journal’ section.
