| 4 |  Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Sanjay Malhotra kept the repo rate unchanged at 5.25% to navigate inflationary risks and support economic growth amid ongoing geopolitical tensions in West Asia and volatile crude oil prices
Policy Stance: The RBI retained a "neutral" stance, unanimously voted by all six MPC members
Growth & Inflation: The FY27 GDP growth outlook was revised to 6.6% Meanwhile, the retail inflation forecast was raised to 5.1%, primarily due to supply chain disruptions stemming from the West Asia conflict
Other Key Rates: The Standing Deposit Facility (SDF) rate remains at 5.0%, while the Marginal Standing Facility (MSF) and bank rates are fixed at 5.50%
The next meeting of the MPC is scheduled for August 3 to 5, 2026.

| 5 |  The government has published Draft Rules under the VB-G RAM G Act, 2025, for wider public consultation.
The Rural Development Ministry said that any person, stakeholder, organisation or institution may submit objections or suggestions on the draft Rules for consideration by the 21st of next month.
Akashvani correspondent reports that the Viksit Bharat-G RAM G Act replaces the 20-year-old Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA), 2005.
The new Act aims to enhance the statutory employment guarantee from 100 days to 125 days in a financial year. According to the Ministry, the draft Rules have been framed in accordance with section 33 and other relevant provisions of the Act.

| 9 | China's domestically developed 600-kilogram-thrust-class turbofan engine, the F406, completed its maiden flight test in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region on Saturday.
According to Aero Engine Corporation of China, its developer, the flight was conducted on an advanced meteorological drone in a twin-engine configuration.
The successful flight marks the first time China has achieved independent control and domestic application of a medium and small-thrust high-end turbofan engine in the general aviation power sector, the company said.
