Under the proposal, FLR staked on the P-Chain initially receives a 5x weighting compared with FLR delegated on the C-Chain when determining signing weight and reward allocation.
For example:
100,000 FLR delegated = 100,000 weight
100,000 FLR staked = 500,000 effective weight
This does not imply a guaranteed 5x return. Actual rewards will still depend on factors such as total network participation, staking and delegation levels, validator performance, fees, and the final distribution of rewards.
At the same time, FIRE is designed to reinvest revenues generated by the Flare ecosystem back into the network, potentially providing an increasing source of funding for validator and staking rewards.
The broader objective is therefore not simply to increase rewards through higher token issuance, but to combine stronger staking incentives, lower inflation, and progressively greater reliance on real network revenues. | 167 |
