Over 19,000 Students Allotted Seats in DU Colleges in Second Round of UG Admission Delhi University Thursday filled up over 19,000 undergraduate seats across colleges in the second round of admission for the academic year 2023-24. ☞New Delhi, August 10 (PTI) Delhi University Thursday filled up over 19,000 undergraduate seats across colleges in the second round of admission for the academic year 2023-24. ☞In the first round, over 62,000 students had paid fees to confirm their seats. Many of them opted for upgradation, while several students froze their seats. ☞The university said 34,174 candidates so far have opted for an upgrade after the first round. ☞"In the second round of admission, new allocation totalled 19,038. As many as 10,104 students got their upgraded choices and around 17,561 froze their seats allotted to them in the first round," a varsity official said. ☞As many as 32,600 candidates were retained on their earlier allocation. ☞Of the total allotment of 85,853 UG seats in the first round of allocation, 62,008 students, of which 53 per cent are females, have paid fees and confirmed their admission to DU colleges. ☞DU has a total of 71,000 UG seats across all its colleges. However, the number of seat allocations was higher this year as the varsity allocated extra seats in various categories, the DU official said. ☞The seats for the undergraduate programmes are being allotted under the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS)-UG-2023. ☞Only a few seats remained vacant in the colleges on North Campus, the list showed. ☞The majority of the vacancies were available off-campus and in some colleges of the South Campus in Sanskrit and science courses, including Chemistry, Physics, and Electronics. ☞Students were given a one-day window to re-order higher preferences. ☞Candidates can accept the allocated seat till August 13 and the college can verify their applications by August 14. ☞The last date for online payment is August 15 and classes will begin on August 16, the varsity said. ☞The third admission round will begin on August 17 and will end on August 26.

Delhi University Second Merit List 2023: Latest Update DU admission 2023: The seat allocation for under-graduate programmes is being done under the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) - UG-2023. ☞The second merit list of Delhi University (DU), which was scheduled to be released on Thursday, has not been uploaded on the official website yet. The list is meant to provide an update for allocation of seats in various undergraduate courses. The time for the release of the list was 5pm on August 10, but admission.uod.ac.in doesn't have any active link. Once released, the candidates will have the option to accept the allocated seat by August 13. ☞Candidates eligible for admission to the undergraduate programmes at Delhi University can report to the colleges based on the list released. ☞The seat allocation for under-graduate programmes is being done under the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) - UG-2023. Allocations have been done in all programmes in all colleges, except in those programs where the eligibilities include performance/practical tests. ☞The candidates will be required to login to his/her CSAS(UG)-2023 dashboard for acceptance of the allocated seat, if offered. ☞The colleges will check the applications of the candidates against the college allocated and process them till 04:59 pm on August 14. The last date to pay the fee is August 15. ☞If a candidate fails to pay the admission fee, it will be considered a cancellation of the allocated seat. The allocated seat will be forfeited and the candidate will not be considered for any subsequent allocations throughout the year. ☞⁠The first merit list was released on August 1 and included the names of 85,853 successful candidates. ☞For now, DU has decided to release three allocation rounds. But in case of remaining vacant seats after the third admission round, the schedule for further seat allocation rounds will be released by the university later.

प्रेस विज्ञप्ति बीएचयू प्रवेश प्रक्रिया: स्नातक की दूसरी सूची 11 अगस्त को जारी होगी ऽ अभ्यर्थियों द्वारा प्रवेश फार्म में की गयी त्रुटियों से हो रहा है विलम्ब। ऽ विधि संकाय में 82 प्रतिशत तथा संस्कृत विद्या धर्म विज्ञान संकाय में 71 प्रतिशत सीटों पर जमा हो चुकी है फीस वाराणसी, 09.08.2023। शैक्षणिक सत्र 2023-24 के लिए विभिन्न स्नातक पाठ्यक्रम में प्रवेश हेतु दूसरी मेरिट लिस्ट 11 अगस्त को जारी की जाएगी। काशी हिन्दू विश्वविद्यालय की केन्द्रीय प्रवेश समिति के अध्यक्ष प्रो0 राकेश रमन ने बताया कि सैकड़ों की संख्या में ऐसे अभ्यर्थी हैं जिनके प्रवेश फार्म में कई त्रुटियां पायी गयी है। इन त्रुटियों में सही नामांकन संख्या न होना, ईमेल में गड़बड़ी तथा नाम व अन्य जानकारी का एनटीए द्वारा प्राप्त डाटा से मेल न खाना मुख्य रूप से शामिल है। प्रो0 राकेश रमन ने बताया कि फार्म में त्रुटियां और एनटीए के आंकड़ों से मेल न खाने के कारण बड़ी संख्या में अभ्यर्थी मेरिट में आने के पश्चात् भी फीस जमा नहीं कर पा रहे हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि केन्द्रीय प्रवेश समिति की कोशिश है कि मेरिट में आ गये अभ्यर्थियों को छोटी-मोटी गलतियों के कारण प्रवेश से वंचित न रहना पड़े और इसके लिए बीएचयू की टीम फार्म्स में पायी गयी गलतियों को सुधारकर अभ्यर्थियों के हित में कार्य कर रही है। इसी कारण से अगली प्रवेश सूची निकलने में समय लग रहा है। विश्वविद्यालय में प्रवेश के लिए अब तक तकरीबन 4300 सीटों के लिए फीस जमा हो चुकी है। उपलब्ध आंकड़ों के अनुसार विधि संकाय में 82 प्रतिशत, कला व सामाजिक विज्ञान संकाय में तकरीबन 57 प्रतिशत, वाणिज्य संकाय में लगभग 50 प्रतिशत तथा संस्कृत विद्या धर्म विज्ञान संकाय में 71 प्रतिशत सीटों के लिए फीस जमा की जा चुकी है। जनसम्पर्क अधिकारी *Source: Dean of Students, BHU*
