Cola helped a woman survive by eliminating a dangerous condition.
The American woman went to the hospital complaining of severe pain in the upper abdomen. Examination revealed that a large mass of undigested food had formed in her stomach, which was life-threatening. However, instead of surgery, doctors prescribed her to drink 1.5 liters of diet cola per day (regular cola was not an option due to her diabetes).
