The Continental Congress adopted the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776. Today, 248 years later, I'm reminded of the importance of this document. Our Founding Fathers had the foresight to realize there would be those who would come and attempt to undo all they'd fought so hard for. These evildoers have been at the gates for decades. That's why the Founding Fathers included this in the Declaration: "But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security." I wonder how many Americans today know or care this was included in the Declaration of Independence? Today, in a public education system that purposely fails to teach history to children, it's up to us to share the truth. It has always been up to us. It's been said we are currently living in our own 1776. Keep standing and proclaiming the truth, and when the history books are updated, our grandchildren will be thankful for our sacrifices in this generation. Undoubtedly, the last few years have been difficult. The battle has been long and the road has been difficult. It’s been hard to watch our beloved Republic being attacked from all sides. It was tough to wake up and realize that the attacks have been coordinated over many decades. Seeing the forces of evil run rampant is exhausting. If you’re like me, you’ve thought about giving up more than once in the last few years. Many of us have suffered the loss of careers, friends, and even family members because we chose to stand for truth. While the struggles have been daunting, I’m encouraged today by the reminder that great things are formed under pressure. Pressure turns coal into diamonds. Crushing olives makes high-quality oil. Fire removes impurities and refines gold. Perhaps it’s felt like we’ve been pushing boulders uphill the last few years, but looking back we can see the struggle has made us stronger. Today, we are united and stronger than we were just a few years ago. Looking back, it’s clear to see that God has carried us into every battle. He has delivered us, strengthened us, grown our faith, and prepared us for every situation we’re facing. Because of this, we have the assurance today that He will continue to lead us and guide us. The battle may be far from over, but never forget the war has already been won. If you’re feeling overwhelmed from the battle today, take a look back with me and realize how far we’ve already come. Let’s keep going. With God guiding us and fellow brothers and sisters surrounding us, there’s nothing we cannot face with the assurance of victory! 🔥 "And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not" (Galatians 6:9).
