ㅤㅤIt was the tree hunt session after a warm breakfast at home. Since everyone has finally shown up, we headed out late this morning to take care of the agenda while the girls stayed back, checking off their own to-do lists as we took on the woods like men on a mission. We started out trek when the sun was breaking through and it only took around fifteen minutes of walking, cracking jokes, and shoving each other around before we found one perfect pine tree for our Christmas decorations tonight. And once the tree was down, we shifted gears to hunt deadwood for firewood. The real fun began when we took the lumberjack turns and did some chaotic competition. Although the Tahoe weather was ehh, you know.. the weather when the winter chill didn’t care about the sun as it cut through us so it made every swings a little more intense. But just as we got into it, the snowflakes started falling, although almost nobody noticed it at first until Michael called it out. Probably because Jeff was very determined to kick the snow off the branches and tried to drop it on our heads, that fucker. We spent a minimum one hour collecting the wood and the idiot brothers-in-law of mine, Damien and Pyriel, took charge of dragging the tree to the truck, then we finally drove back. It was an even heated competition at home when Maverick, Jeff, Mikail, and I showed off our strength splitting logs. Special mention to the English lad, dude's built like a tank and those goddamn biceps don’t lie. All in all, what a wonderful day in Tahoe with the boys.

ㅤㅤHappy Mother’s Day to the woman who has made my world brighter, fuller, and more meaningful than I ever thought possible. My dearest love, I could never stop sayinng how much I appreciate everything you do for our family and the incredible way you carry yourself as the heart of our home. You gave me the most beautiful gift an ordinary man could ever dream. The love and joy I feel when I see our princesses and little guardians laughing, growing, and thriving under your care is something I’ll never take for granted. You have built a world where love, laughter, and warmth flourish, and I still can’t believe that I get to call it home. And so, my darling, you’ve made me a better man, a better father, and a better human being. Thank you for trusting me to be their father, for letting me share this life with you, for choosing me to stand beside you as your partner and their protector. Thank you for this amazing, chaotic, love-filled life that I wouldn’t trade for anything in the world. I love you now and forever.

Fransisco J. Miller: The Crest and Crossroads.
ㅤThe rugged dust have shifted into polished marble as the journey evolves but never strays from its core. Subtle yet profound, the scaurs and distress were once memorized have now become lessons etched in time. Crafted by trials, shrouded in shadows. The rhythm softens to waltz, confidence becomes clarity, ambition transforms into wisdom. The tempest roared, the soul ignited. Still, he survived. Not as he was, but as who he's meant to be.

ㅤㅤSpending the grand autumn feast with family could never go wrong. Although it was unfortunate that we had to leave the other three kids back home, I'm still grateful that I could fulfill the invitation for the gathering by the Rogers family, who live 500 miles away from home.
The high-pitched laughter coming from the back was heard, the mumbles and giggles of little ones echoing throughout the house only boosted the atmosphere higher. Someone once said, “Wear gratitude like a cloak, and it will feed every corner of your life.” And there I was quoting one because I felt like it. We arrived at my old man’s house before the dark engulfed the sun. His ancient chuckle and solid hug were the first things that greeted me before he bent down to offer a high five, which Javíer accepted with all his pumped-up energy. My wife came right in beside me soon after and immediately excused herself to help the madam of the house with the cooking, while my boys and I were ushered to the living room to see beautiful baby Maeva, who had her little mouth stuffed with baked pumpkins.
Rudolph was flexing his eyewear collection when Marybeth called his name to ask for his help to grab the already cooked roasted turkey. Let me tell you, it smelled amazing, and I think Javíer agreed because he pitter-pattered his way to the kitchen along with him. I focused my eyes on the other two tiny beings who were sleeping next to each other before me until the smell of herbs increased, filling my nostrils and seducing my ravenous stomach.
“You should be thankful that your wife can cook a very delicious-smelling turkey, pop. Because you smell like shit right now, and I'm giving my most honest comment.” With that, a piece of baby potato landed on my head.
The candles were lit, and the table was almost full by the time the doorbell rang, announcing the last family to arrive. The mother and daughter Miltzer were the first to greet, followed by Zaxter, who had his hands full of bags that he struggled to bring in all at once. I gave him a brotherly slap on the head and lent him a hand. Soon after, the ten of us were gathered around the table to devour whatever these incredible women had made. It was heavenly. Perhaps not so much for my brother when Lilybeth handed him the drooling Zeya because it was his turn to carry the child as the mother had to eat.
“Damn, man. Welcome to real fatherhood this time. Hope you brought a pile of shirts to change.” That one picture of him with Zeya that I snapped would come in handy.
It all ended when the plates and glasses were put neatly back in their place, the stomachs were stuffed full, and the taste of whiskey mixed with the sweetness of pumpkin pie still lingered on the taste buds. The babies were sleeping peacefully as we gathered the remaining blocks of Jenga that were scattered all over the table. It was past midnight when we took our leave from the warmest house in Pacific Palisades.
I would like to express my sincerest gratitude to the Rogers family for inviting us and to the Miltzer family for making the night merrier. Josie, Javí, Joví, and I had one of the most memorable nights of our lives here in California. We will take care of the goodies given to us (and the one bottle of Macallan that I stole from the old man’s bar). Everything was great and surrounded by warmth, joy, and gratitude. And it was all perfect.
