Weird shit

I spent a long time thinking that communication was everything. Until one day, I realized it wasn’t communication that I was searching for, but understanding. You can sit there for hours explaining the deepest parts of your mind, trying to put your feelings into words, trying to be seen, but if the other person doesn’t truly hear you, it all turns into meaningless noise. And somehow, that’s the loneliest feeling of all: being open, being vulnerable, pouring your heart out, only to realize they never understood you the way you needed to be understood.
