APEDA has facilitated the first-ever export of GI-tagged Indi and Puliyankudi Limes from Karnataka and Tamil Nadu to the United Kingdom. The 500 kg air shipment — comprising 350 kg of Indi Lime from Vijayapura and 150 kg of Puliyankudi Lime from Tenkasi — marks a significant milestone in boosting India’s global agri-export footprint. Renowned for their zesty aroma, high juice yield, and balanced acidity, these limes highlight India’s rich horticultural diversity and rising global demand for GI-tagged produce.

Google announced a new research project that aims to launch AI chips into space via solar-powered satellites called Project Suncatcher. The new ‘moonshot’ project was jumpstarted because Google believed that space could be the best place to scale AI compute.
