❤️ reading time ❤️ When I lost my father five years ago from a sudden heart attack, I wondered, “what kind of a legacy Dad would have wanted to leave?” Then I thought to myself, my Dad left my two siblings and me with a sense of responsibility to carry on, a strong work ethic and love of the land. He grew up with the belief that you must leave the land in better shape than when you were handed the reins – and my siblings and I carry on that belief. My children will be the fifth generation on our family’s ranch and I trust we have passed that belief forward to them. The legacy that my father learned from his parents and grandparents is being instilled with future generations.
