| 3 |  Manhattan: East 128th Street & Lexington Avenue, a 26-year-old intoxicated man was arrested last week Monday on April 6th, after allegedly attacking an officer while police attempted to take him into custody in East Harlem, within the confines of the NYPD 25th Precinct.
According to police, officers observed the man rolling around on the sidewalk while appearing intoxicated and in distress. Officers attempted to remove him from the scene and get him safely into custody.
During the encounter, police said the man became combative and scratched one officer in the face, causing lacerations. He then allegedly flailed his arms and refused repeated commands to place his hands behind his back.
Due to the resistance, officers deployed a taser to gain compliance and bring the situation under control. The man was then taken into custody.

| 4 |  Manhattan: East 42nd Street & Park Avenue, chaos unfolded inside Grand Central Terminal this morning when a machete-wielding man slashed three people inside the subway station before being shot by officers from the NYPD Transit Bureau.
Police say officers were alerted around 9:40 a.m. after a civilian flagged them down about a man attacking people with a large knife on the platforms. Officers rushed toward the suspect, found multiple victims suffering slash wounds, and encountered the man still armed. Officers gave numerous orders for him to drop the machete, but he instead advanced toward them, leading one officer to open fire.
After the shooting, the NYPD officers started CPR on the suspect, while officers from MTA Police assisted in triaging the three victims until EMS arrived.
Three victims — an 84-year-old man, a 65-year-old man, and a 70-year-old woman — were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect was also transported to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. | 0 |
| 5 |  Bronx: East 154th Street & Courtlandt Ave, a man stole hubcaps off a car — then tried selling them to a random person who turned out to be the owner.
According to witnesses, the suspect stole hubcaps off a parked vehicle last week and started walking around trying to sell them for cash. At some point, he approached a random person on the street and offered the hubcaps. The problem was that those hubcaps belonged to the person he was talking to.
The owner realized that the same hubcaps being offered to him were the ones just stolen from his car. The thief took a classic old beating from the car owner, handed the hubcaps back, and then walked off — likely looking for his next hustle. | 0 |
