Actually our school had organised a poem writing contest last week and guess what? My poem has won the first prize in the middle school category. The result of the contest were to be announced in today's morning assembly. My heart was pounding fast.And imagine ,what would have been my feeling when the principle announce my name for the first prize.I stood up  and everyone greeted me with a thunderous  applause. I was on seventh  heaven! But our teachers says that success should not make you proud. I will always remember their advice.This is just the beginnings! I will participate in other contest too and try to give my best.

SAVE WILDLIFE CLASS: 8th Earth is the only known planet where life exits. This is the home to millions of different species of birds, animals insects and other life forms. But man has been dominating over all other animals and in his blind race for so-called development, he has caused a great damage to the natural balance on the earth. Human activities like industrialisation urbaninization transportation and communication etc.have had a bad effect on the population of birds and animals.In ordered to build our home,cities, industries, rail tracks etc.we have been cutting the trees indiscriminately.The shrinking forest have created a lot of problem to the poor wild animals. They are deprived of their habitat and their food resources are also being reduce. Rapid growth of industrialisation over the past two centuries have caused a lot of air, water and noise pollution.Grasslands have disappeared and harmful Radisson prevail everywhere making it difficult for the poor creature to survive constituently. Together we should stop deforestation and pollution. There should be world wild ban on hunting and special protection zones and national parks should be developed where these poor creatures can roam about fearlessly. After all this planet is there too. And, they too have to right to live.

Class 8th It's almost a fad among people to go for shopping and buy numerous things from the market. And, we have seen that people don,t carry their own bags to fetch those things home. They are rather dependent on polybags which are easily available and shopkeepers, too,happily pack the goods in them. These poly bags are, no doubt, easy to handletough, durable,and waterproof but they are very harmful in many ways.Actually, the polybags are non- biogradable. They do not decompose naturally. As a result these bags cause a lot of soil pollution. Besides they Chowk are drains and consequently dirty water overflow and causes diseases among the people residing nearby. Even if they are burnt, they release harmful smoke which contains deadly gases that can cause respiratory disease to those who happen to inhale them.Considering all these harmful effect government should ban the use of plastic bag and people should rather prefer to use cloth or jute bags.

CLASS : 6TH VALUES OF TREES Trees are important to us.They are our best friends. They are important because they give us fresh air to breathe, food to eat and shelter/shade from sunlight and rainfall. Besides this, there are many medicines in the market that are made up of trees extracts. Apart from this, there are plants and trees that have medicinal value.They give us fruits,vegetables and wood for furniture. Plants absorb carbon dioxide and release oxygen during their process of making food. As animals need oxygen to breathe, we need plants and trees as oxygen producers.
