I didn't know Jeff Winston closely, but we did exchange a few emails when he was helping me promote my earlier films, and I thought he's a good fella. Now that he's gone I'm thinking, "Damn, should've hopped on a call with Jeff. Even for just a few minutes" 😔 Jeff's partner Hiraeth and their 3 month old daughter continue his legacy. It is with an extremely heavy heart that I share the news I’m about to share with you all. Jeff Winston, director and founder of the White Art Collective, passed away unexpectedly on October 6th 2023. There are no words to describe the loss that I feel for myself, our 3 month old daughter, and Jeff’s family. He was the love of my life, my best friend, and an incredible father. He inspired me artistically, and showed me what it really means to love and to be loved unconditionally. He was truly one of the good ones. Although we ask that you please respect the privacy of our family, we greatly appreciate all prayers and support during this difficult time. Thank you, -Hiraeth

WATCH: while having a few pints we ran into Richard Boyd Barrett who recently counter protested Posie Parker's pro-woman rally in Dublin and also called citizens concerned about immigration "fascists at the Dail" (Irish parliament), referencing the Dail protest on 20th September 2023. IRELAND IS FULL: Algerian migrants argued with Irish locals outside the migrant centre at Eblana Avenue, Dun Laoghaire and said "we are all immigrants" and that Ireland is their country too. This is similar to the emotionally manipulative NGO language we heard at the East Wall protests, "I am from planet earth", "we are all just pink inside". Dun Laoghaire, Blackrock, Sallynoggin and Ballybrack have been engaged in protest over the summer to remove migrants from their areas, citing rape, murder and robberies at the hands of migrants in Sweden, Germany, France and Spain.
