👤 Selman says:
"A Blender Compositor Node that tries to make it as easy as possible to post process renders that are meant to look photorealistic. jet it still includes all compositing effects that are typically used in a professional workflow, such as Glare, Noise, Chromatic aboration, vignetting, Shapening or softening and adjust colors in a simple and intuitive way.
It's all build in nested nodes group that can be separately deployed
Blender 4.5 + "

👤 Jeremy White says: "I’ve been experimenting with the newly released Storm HydroFX, and this pier wave simulation is one of my first tests using its GPU-accelerated FLIP fluid solver.
The wave motion was driven by a Geometry Force in HydroFX, created from a Blender Ocean Modifier combined with a Solidify Modifier to give it proper thickness and volume. The full environment and scene layout were built in Blender 4.5, keeping the workflow clean and flexible between modeling, layout, and shading.
After simulating in HydroFX, I exported the SDF, velocity, and vorticity volumes into Houdini for meshing and whitewater simulation. HydroFX’s new position-based dynamics (PBD) whitewater solver already looks very promising — it supports foam clumping, which gives a much more natural, large-scale feel to the splashes. That will definitely be the focus of my next test.
This setup pushed nearly 100 million fluid particles per frame using HydroFX’s solver. Thanks to its GPU acceleration and adaptive domain, it only simulates active regions — no wasted computation on empty voxels. Having direct access to velocity and vorticity volumes is another big plus, especially for fluid shading in Houdini before exporting to USD for final rendering in Blender Cycles.
One of my favorite features is the force drag on droplets, which adds a believable sense of weight and scale to large splashes and sprays.
With the new VDB tools in Blender 5.0 daily builds, the workflow between HydroFX, Houdini, and Blender feels smoother than ever. The future of fast, high-quality fluid simulations looks incredibly exciting.

ChrisAtKIRIsays: "We just open-sourced 3DGS render blender addon v4.0 (https://github.com/Kiri-Innovation/3dgs-render-blender-addon)! It has been a while, but we are still updating this 3D Gaussian Splatting tool! In this version, we added a real-time rendering mode, so say goodbye to those laggy displays in the viewport! Here is an example: I imported a file that contains one million gaussians, super smooth."
