The surgical approach for cases of VME (vertical maxillary excess) or long face syndrome is Le fort 1 osteotomy .. we make superior repositioning of the maxilla (jaw repostioning)

In the context of lip repositioning surgery , remember it is contraindicated in cases of minimal attachement zone and sever VME (vertical maxillary excess)

In the cases of APE (altered passive eruption ) with the bone close to the CEJ ( cementoenamel junction ) you will need to do osseous reduction plus gingivectomy in order to avoid gingival rebound (regrowth) .. remember to do bone sounding and x-ray in cases of APE

Good evening for all I need to talk about such case: Congenital epuils of newborns It is rare lesion of uncertain histogenesis that occurs exclusively in newborn infants, chiefly on the maxillary anterior alveolar ridge and less commonly on the mandibular anterior alveolar ridge. Although usually solitary lesions, they may be multiple, most often affecting both the maxilla and mandible, although rare simultaneous occurrence of lesions on the maxillary anterior alveolar ridge and tongue have been reported Sometimes it may resolve spontaneously..but In some cases it may be large enough to cause respiratory problem or even asphyxia or may interfer with sucking, in such cases surgical removal will be planned .If general anesthesia will be used, discussion with pediatrician and anesthetist is a must.. Surgery can be performed under local or general anesthesia and the choice between the two depends on the size, number and location.
