⏰ How to Ask About Time in Russian
In Russian, we use different questions depending on whether we are asking about the current time or the time of an event.
🕐 Current time
— What time is it now?
— What time is it now?
Both questions are common and mean the same thing.
📅 Time of an event
When we ask about the time of an event, we can use these two questions:
👉 Во сколько начинается концерт?
— What time does the concert start?
— What time does the concert start?
💡 «Во сколько?» is much more common in everyday Russian.
💡 «В котором часу?» is also correct, but sounds more formal or old-fashioned.
— What time shall we meet?
— What time shall we meet?
