I don't know if it's just me, but books have become mere shelf decorations to moi. Just another ornament to look at superficially. Escape this please @joiride 📖

People make a great deal of young people growing up and finding themselves. I've heard a lot of older people looking back at their younger years and talking fondly about how they've "grown into themselves" but growing up seems to me like the exact opposite. I feel very much like I have fallen out of alignment with myself. It sometimes feels like I've grown an extra limb that won't let me fit back into the mold of who I am. It can be quite painful at times. I've tried long and hard to gnaw the limb off, but I know now, you can't do that. Part of growing up is learning to co-exist with yourself. I don't know what "co-existing with myself" will look like 5 years from now but I hope I'm having an easier time. - Rasta @joiride

G.morning everyone✨✨ For any non-Ethiopians here, Ethiopia follows its own calendar composed of 13 months (12 months of 30 days and 1 month of 5 or 6 days depending if it's a leap year) and in which a new year begins in September.  We are also 7 years behind the Gregorian calendar, meaning it just turned 2015🎉🎉🎉 If you ever feel like traveling back in time, you now know where to go.

“Everywhere one looks, Adey Abeba seems to be blooming without anyone bothering to plant it. It is a flower symbolizing the renewal of life, which communicates to people in its own way, that there is still hope for a better life.  If a plant that has remained lifeless throughout the year manages to reclaim life, so can we.” Happy New year! @joiride
