Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) has been officially renamed to Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome (PMOS) as of May 2026. This global change, published in The Lancet, aims to reflect that it is a complex, multisystem metabolic and hormonal condition, not merely a gynecological issue centered on ovarian cysts.

Frogs have defeated cancer — a bacterium has been found in amphibians that can destroy almost any type of cancer.
The bacterium Ewingella americana was discovered in the intestines of Japanese tree frogs. It moves around the body on its own, finds tumours and destroys them without causing recurrence.
An experiment on mice proved to be a breakthrough: a single injection of the frog bacteria killed all cancerous tumours in rodents in 100% of cases.
The bacteria is considered safe — it does not damage other organs in the body.
— The tumours died within three days. According to the researchers, this is safer than chemotherapy and immunotherapy.
Scientists are currently preparing for human trials. If they are successful, it will be a real breakthrough in medicine.
