This or that ?
Which way should I go?
To do or not to do?
Life always seems like an endless chase of goats.
In this article, I show you how to find 'queen bee' or 'sugar' actions.
(You probably don't know what that is😂😂😂- exactly why you should read this newsletter)

boluokunade.substack.com - HOW TO CHASE 10 GOATS PART 2
There is seemingly a great lesson to learn here on personal financial empowerment as ladies
I’m not a marriage coach, I won’t come and give you marriage lessons
However, I want to point out something
Never, ever let the gram trick you into sharing your networth online, even to prove a point
Don’t do it!!
Leave the thought of how much money you have to ALWAYS BE A MYSTERY
Except you are in a position where by regulation, you have to declare it!
If not, let it always remain a mystery
If you still see the need to prove a point of your self worth via material wealth, then you’re not FULLY DELIVERED FROM POVERTY.

😎 If I had to give one piece of advice to people in their 20s who want to build something great, it would be: “Never drink alcohol.” 🍸
🤮 I haven’t drunk alcohol in nearly 20 years, but I’ve seen many successful people ruin themselves with it. Alcohol clouds your mental clarity and intuition for days after consumption. While it might lift your mood temporarily, it’s like taking out a loan — you’ll pay it back with interest. The short-term pleasure brings long-term misery 😵💫
🍔 I know it’s hard not to yield to social pressure: humans have evolved to copy the behaviors of those around them. But the habits of the majority are self-destructive — most people around us drink alcohol, eat fast food, and have passive lifestyles. And that’s fine. If you want to achieve something extraordinary, however, you’ll boost your chances by keeping both your mind and body healthy 😼
Look at the board
This was the first investment I made in my life (about 4 years ago !)
A whooping 37,500 (forget T-pain, that was a lot of money back then 😂)
You can keep saying one day, or you can make this DAY ONE
P.s I also miss when I would go to universities to train on basic finance 😂. This was in a university hall where I was training students on investment basics
Keep going,

I want to experiment something here
Let’s call it a ‘town hall solution meeting’
Type of your greatest current challenge, or a question you want to ask, or something you need clarity on.
I’ll allow community members proffer solutions, and probably comment with a couple of solutions
Let’s see how this goes!
(P.s: if you’re also looking for an opportunity, you can pitch yourself also)
If it goes well, we will do it a couple of times
I chuckled, “She’s such a stubborn girl,” I said casually.
Before I could finish, her mother’s firm but gentle voice interrupted, “Strong-willed.”
It took a second, but I realized she wasn’t just correcting me—she was redefining the way her child was seen.
It struck me: she wasn’t going to let anyone label her daughter as “stubborn.” No negative tags allowed—her child was “strong-willed,” and she made that clear.
As I reflected on it, I was reminded of a powerful statement I heard in a session once:
"Life rewards you according to your definitions."
At first, it sounded simple. But connecting it to this moment, it suddenly became revolutionary.
Think back to school days—remember the classmates who always had the answer? They were the first to raise their hands, while some of us (probably sitting in the back, making mischief) labeled them as 'proud' or 'show-offs'.
Or maybe you even used the Nigerian slang I.T.K. (“I Too Know”) for them.
It seemed harmless, right? Just a joke.
But over time, the weight of those words adds up. The next time they wanted to answer, they hesitated, thinking, “Will they call me a show-off again?”
Eventually, they stopped speaking up altogether, and unknowingly, their self-esteem began to erode.
Fast forward to adulthood—now it’s 2024, and that same person struggles with confidence, avoids eye contact, and fears speaking up because their difference was wrongly 'defined' by others.
Contrast this with another child whose parent, like the mother I mentioned earlier, said, “You’re not showing off—you’re just outspoken.”
That child grows up with a different definition, one that empowers them. They become leaders, communicators, and persuaders—because they received the 'right' label early on.
Here’s the truth: 'We’re all different, but the way we define those differences shapes our future.'
Maybe a wrong label has held you back for years, perhaps your 2024 problem, started with the wrong definitions introduced to you in 2000's or the 90's
The question is, Do you need to redefine your difference?
What if;
- You're not emotional, you're empathetic and in tune with your feelings.
- You're not reckless, you're bold and willing to take risks.
- You're not difficult, you're assertive and know your worth.
- You're not a talkative, you're expressive and engaging.
(P.s, This is not an excuse not to take constructive feedback, and optimize your character 🤣, some of you need change, not any redefinition).

After 98 sleepless nights, I’ve come to a realization that might surprise you.
We’ve all heard it before: “If you sleep 8 hours a day, you’re sleeping away a third of your life.”
And it’s easy to feel a little guilty when you hear people proudly say they’ve been working through the night, while you slept through the night.
I used to think the same way—believing that working late into the night was a badge of honor, a sign of ambition and dedication.
But during my third year at university, everything changed.

It’s Monday again!
The hustle and bustle are back in full swing. Anything and everything to make money … we're all out here securing the bag!
But while you’re on the grind, it's important that I remind you that your hustle is different! You must engage in what I call 'Vision-Guided Hustling'.
(Sigh! I know I have a habit of picking topics that need long explanations, hoping I can fit them all into a single post... but hey, let’s give it a shot! 😅🤣)
So, what is Vision-Guided Hustling? It's simply doing what you can today so you can get to where you want to be tomorrow.
It's working today, while keeping the vision of tomorrow in sight !
You see, many times, the real challenge while building wealth in your prime years is avoiding two major traps:
Trap 1: Waiting endlessly for the “perfect” opportunity.
Here, many people pridefully ignore current chances, thinking, “I know my worth.” While waiting for optimal opportunities isn’t wrong, the problem arises when waiting turns into idleness. Idleness can wear down your mind and spirit… (I’ll try not to derail into a full-on rant about idleness here, but you get the point.)
Trap 2: Doing anything and everything just to survive today, at the expense of a consistent visionary drive.
When survival consumes you, you can lose the ability to map out your path to a carefully designed future. You’re too busy fighting for today to build for tomorrow. When you tow this path, you will end up in your latter years filled with misery, as you lived a life like an actor in a film who never had the chance to influence the script.
One of the best examples of Vision-Guided Hustling comes from the biblical story of David. David was destined to be a king, but at one point, he was just a shepherd. One day, while tending sheep, he was sent to deliver food to his brothers at the warfront.
When he arrived, he overheard a boastful tyrant mocking Israel's army. David, irritated, asked to fight and asked a crucial question:
“What shall be done for the man who kills this Philistine and removes this disgrace from Israel?”
This question reveals something important: Even while David was a shepherd, he never lost sight of his greater vision to be king. He was already negotiating for his future!
So, yes, it's okay to be a shepherd for now. But don’t get so caught up in tending the sheep that you forget your vision of becoming a king.
Like I would fondly say: On the journey to securing the bag, you must ensure that the bag doesn’t secure you! (Your vision, in this context)
I hope this helps

HAS YOUR SKILL EXPIRED?
A young man approached me recently.
“I’m a copywriter,” he said. “I want to know how to scale my business and get more clients.”
My response was quick, sharp, and to the point: “Your skill has expired.”
The reason? Simple. 'The average Tom, Dick, and Harry' can now use some AI tool to churn out a well-written article (though I know it’s not the same as a professional copy).
With the rise of AI tools, demand for his skill has shifted drastically. The same goes for many of us—we're playing the role of kings, so concerned with our golden throne, while the palace itself has moved.
Many are still operating in fields where demand has sharply declined. Remember when King Solomon said, “A little sleep, a little slumber...so shall thy poverty come”? This mirrors the fate of many once-wealthy individuals. They slumbered through the shifts in their industries, and soon enough, the change left them behind.
Yes, with 'that expired skill', you can still make money, but now you're playing a game with much lower odds.
I’ll be writing a series on this soon (or perhaps hosting a webinar), where I’ll show you how to measure the demand for your skills and what to do when you realize your primary skill set has “expired.”
