02 The court system is meant to be apolitical. Even our Supreme Court justices are barred from clapping at the state of the union address, so as to not be seen as impartial.
Justice is blind, so they say.
And yet we have these very clear cases of Judges and Juries alike, playing politics, trying to legislate from the bench … hell, we are in the racial mess we are in today, due to Justices legislating from the bench.
OJ Simpson and Derick Chauvin had their cases determined by clear revenge politics.
Is that Justice? I think not.
I happen to believe very strongly in Justice. The law isn’t always right, and we all know that - but the law is still the law, and when we are drug before a Court to answer for our crimes, it should be fair, and impartial.
I don’t want blacks wrongly imprisoned anymore than I want whites wrongly imprisoned.
There’s something inherently wrong about this, about being punished for something you didn’t do.
This is why I think our Common Law Tradition, inherited from England - is inherently flawed.
Common Law is Democratic Justice, and that’s not Justice at all.
A “jury of your peers” is an impossible task, and moreso - a jury of one’s peers will never be versed in the law. The jury always puts forth their feelings, when dealing with the law. Showing sympathy for some, vengeance for others.
It needs to be done away with.
Here is how the legal system should be redone.
> The Judge should not be a specific job, but the public duty of a government official. May he be a Senator, Congressman, or City Councilman.
> The Jury should be members of the Defendants local town council. They vote to Condemn or Absolve.
Imprisonment shouldn’t exist, except as a temporary holding measure until a verdict is found.
Punishment for the condemned should be
>Fine
>Whipping
>Forced Labor
>Exile
And in the very rarest of cases - Death.

Of course, this system works only if the government officials in question, themselves are not subject to democratic interference, ie - they’re unelected. Why?
Because sober judgement; as well as sober legislation and enforcement, requires removal from the democratic passions and influences.
It’s pretty shrimple.
These people should be appointed into positions, completely divorced from a factionalist context.
Anyways, do that, uproot the democratic system - and you can have sober and measured justice again.
Don’t do that, and you keep having this radicalist bullshit we have today. | 1 | 0 | Loading... |

10 "Since equality is in fact impossible, and since, despite all attempts at reducing everything to one level, the differences between one man and another cannot in practice be entirely suppressed, men have been brought, illogically enough, to invent false hierarchies, whose higher ranks claim to take the place of the only true elect; and these false hierarchies are built up exclusively on the basis of relative and contingent considerations, always of a purely material order. This is very obvious from the fact that the kind of social distinction which counts the most in the present state of things is that based on wealth, that is to say on a merely external superiority of an exclusively quantitative order, the only superiority, as a matter of fact, that is consistent with democracy, based as it is on the same point of view."

12 The Fall of Constantinople and Europe’s Renaissance
Constantin von Hoffmeister — drawing on the thoughts of Oswald Spengler, Alexander Dugin, and Guillaume Faye — highlights the symbolic significance of 29 May 1453, the day Turkish soldiers stormed Constantinople, marking the fall of the final stronghold of Rome and setting the stage for a future rebirth of Europe.

The Quiet Contingent: An Addendum on WWII: The Boys of Camp Ritchie
By J. B. Cartwright
This book is a compendium of over 400 biographies of Ritchie Boys; members of a secret Psychological Warfare division active during WWII. Many of these soldiers were German-Jewish refugees, and some heralded from highly influential American families, such as the Roosevelts and Rockefellers. They interrogated Axis prisoners up to the highest ranks, some engaged in Black Propaganda and spy craft, whereas others were involved in the Nuremberg Trials and more.
Post-war, we follow these men’s lives into many walks of life, from major academic institutions to the highest levels of government, business, industry, entertainment and more. In many cases, their stories are told in their own words, providing us with a collection of fresh perspectives on events leading to, during, and after WWII.

28 After the effects of the curse become apparent, Hadding, normally dedicated to the Aesir, attones for his crime with a blot to the Van god Frey which then becomes an annual blot called Freyblot. But who was the goddess? Since Frey is one of the Vanir, Viktor Rydberg interprets this to mean that the beast itself was also a Van, as was the goddess, most probably Freyr’s sister Freyja. Thus he identifies the beast as Svipdag, the husband of Menglöð (usually interpreted as Freyja), although Svipdag isn’t said to be a god anywhere, and it could just as well be some other kinsman of the Vanir. The Norroena society point to this episode as indicative of the importance of blot as a form of atonement for wrongdoings, to appease the anger of the gods. They have also identified the beast as Freyja’s husband Óðr, but he is not a Van, and is often interpreted as an alter-ego of Odin himself. I think it most likely the goddess is Freyja though, and find it interesting she is here associated with the sea as her name Mardöll “sea brightener” also attests elsewhere. 3/3 | 626 | 3 | Loading... |

30 "Whether thou tread the fields afoot, or spread canvas overseas, thou shalt suffer the hate of the gods, and through all the world shalt behold the elements oppose thy purposes. Afield thou shalt fall, on sea thou shalt be tossed, an eternal tempest shall attend the steps of thy wandering, nor shall frost-bind ever quit thy sails; nor shall thy roof-tree roof thee, but if thou seekest it, it shall fall smitten by the hurricane; thy herd shall perish of bitter chill. All things shall be tainted, and shall lament that thy lot is there. Thou shalt be shunned like a pestilent tetter, nor shall any plague be fouler than thou. Such chastisement doth the power of heaven mete out to thee, for truly thy sacrilegious hands have slain one of the dweller's above, disguised in a shape that was not his: thus here art thou, the slayer of a benignant god! But when the sea receives thee, the wrath of the prison of Eolus shall be loosed upon thy head. The West and the furious North, the South wind shall beat thee down, shall league and send forth their blasts in rivalry; until with better prayers thou hast melted the sternness of heaven, and hast lifted with appeasement the punishment thou hast earned."

32 An old Norse nautical curse, much like Willem Dafoe’s famous curse in The Lighthouse (2020) is related in a 12th century text by Saxo Grammaticus. After battle, while bathing in the sea, the legendary Danish king Hadding is attacked by a sea monster which he slays. This offends a furious goddess who arose before him and sang the following:

35 Odin and poetry
Poetry was a prized skill to our Germanic ancestors. Having the ability to compose poetry today is equally as useful for Germanic Pagans who want to create hymns to the Gods and ancestors that can be used in worship.
In the Norse literature, poetry is referred to as something intrinsically connected to Óðinn (Woden). The following list contains some kennings for poetry which feature Óðinn:
líð Hôars
"Drink of Hôars"
Hôars = Óðinn
hverlǫgr farms galga
"Cauldron-liquid of the burden of the gallows"
Burden of the gallows = Óðinn
líð Yggs
"Terrifier's drink"
Terrifier = Óðinn
Gjalfr Gauts
"Hollering sea of Gautr"
Gautr = Óðinn
hrannir saltunnu Hárs
"Waves of Hárr's hall-barrell"
Hárr = Óðinn
vágr Rǫgnis
"Wave of Rǫgnir"
Rǫgnir = Óðinn
And a personal favourite of mine:
Mjǫðr burar Bors
"Mead of Bor's son"
Bor's son = Óðinn
Poetry is tied to Óðinn because the traditional understanding of our ancestors is that He stole the mead of poetry from Suttungr's hall after transforming into an eagle and spitting the mead into the drinking vessels of the Gods. This knowledge is preserved in the poem Skáldskaparmál in the Prose Edda, along with the origin of Kvasir and his transformation into the mead of poetry after his death. | 534 | 2 | Loading... |

38 The Haustlǫng (Autum-long) poem composed by the 10th century Norwegian skald Þjóðólfr of Hvinir is one of the earliest poems detailing various mythological scenes of the Gods. The poem was preserved in Snorri Sturluson's Prose Edda and contains numerous kennings that allow us to gain an understanding of the way in which the Norse and thus Germanic people as a whole conceptualised the world.
In detailing Thor's fight with the jǫtun Hrungnir, Þjóðólfr says:
Ok harðbrotin herju
heimþingaðar Vingnis
hvein í hjarna mœni
hein at Grundar sveini,
þar svát eðr í Óðins
ólaus burar hausi
stála vikr of stokkin
stóð Eindriða blóði
"And the hard-broken whetstone of the home-visitor of the female follower of Vingnir (Hrungnir) flew whining towards the boy of Grund (Grund: Jǫrð, boy of Grund: Thor) into the roof-ridge of his brain, so that the pumice of steel weapons (whetstone), still stuck in the skull of the son of Óðinn (the son of Óðinn: Thor), stood there, spattered with the blood of Eindriði (Thor)."
It is interesting to note that the whetstone is described as flying towards Thor in the direction of "the roof-ridge of his brain". Roof-ridge, in this case, is a kenning that means the top half of the skull.
The skull being referred to as a roof is similarly described by the Icelandic skald Arnórr Þórðarson jarlaskáld (c. 1012-1070), who, in his poem Magnússdrapa verse 19, says in reference to King Magnus:
Jafnmildr ungr skjǫldungr stígr aldri und gǫmlum hausi Ymis á skildan við; rausn þess grams vas gnóg.
"Never beneath the ancient skull of Ymir will an equally bounteous young king step aboard a shield-hung vessel; the magnificence of that lord was ample."
Here, we see another example of the skull being referred to as a roof. The sky being being called the ancient skull of Ymir coincides with the creation myth in Vǫluspá, where the three Gods, Óðinn, Villi, and Vé, create the Earth and use the skull of Ymir as a dome or roof placed overhead. | 595 | 3 | Loading... |

40 "Myth basically serves four functions. The first is the mystical function, realising what a wonder the universe is, and what a wonder you are, and experiencing awe before this mystery. The second is a cosmological dimension, the dimension with which science is concerned—showing you what shape the universe is, but showing it in such a way that the mystery again comes through. The third function is the sociological one—supporting and validating a certain social order. The fourth function is the pedagogical function, of how to live a human lifetime under any circumstances”
