Capsaicin also…
- Acts as a natural antifungal and have a survival advantage in places where there are more insect feeding (creating feeding wounds on the pepper which introduces fungus). The majority of animals avoid them, except birds eat them and disperse the seeds.
- Capsaicin can:
- Loosen the tight junctions on the gut lining (leaky gut).
- Trigger heartburn/reflux and make GERD (Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease) worse.
- Activate pain sensory nerves which can cause esophageal hypersensitivty and make LPR (silent reflux) worse.
- Cause inflammation and cell death in the respiratory system (with the use of pepper spray).
Given that the toxin triggers the TrpV1 receptor and produces these effects, I would conclude that peppers have significant potential for use in both chemical warfare and medicine (which we'll discuss later).

Honestly, if there was one plant in nature that screamed, "Don't eat me!" it would be a pepper. While the majority of animals and insects avoid them, humans purposely seek them out. Which crazy fool was frolicking in the woods, spotted one, and thought, "That looks like a good idea to eat!"?
- Capsaicin-toxin (active compound) binds to the pain and temperature receptor (TrpV1). This tricks the nervous system and alerts the body. This creates a burning sensation even tough there's no temperature heat. This affects mostly the mucus membranes.
To simplify… pretend your mouth, eyes and nose have tiny little signals all over them (receptors). Usually these goes off when you touch something hot. The chemical compound capsaicin tricks these little signals and alerts the nervous system into thinking it's literally burning. The body begins to send massive amounts of mucus to protect the delicate tissue.
Humans figured out this plant activates pain and irritation pathways and is effective as chemical warfare, and with that knowledge, concentrated capsaicin was formed into OC spray (Oleoresin Capsicum), also known as "pepper spray”. It's also effectively used to deter predators (such as bears).
Modern pepper spray was developed in the 1970's and officialy being implemented by law enforcemet in the 1980s. A study showed that OC spray as an effective deterrent for a less-than-lethal option and incapacitated individuals around 90%. The use-of-force also decreased by 53%.

ℕ𝕀𝔾ℍ𝕋𝕊ℍ𝔸𝔻𝔼𝕊 (Solanaceae)
Most commonly consumed:
Peppers: Capsaicin-toxin
Potatoes: Solanine-(glycoalkaloid)-toxin
Tomatoes: Tomatine-(glycoalkaloid)-toxin
Eggplant: Solasonine-(glycoalkaloid)-toxin
Nightshade toxins (particularly glycoalkaloids) act as a natural pesticide and antifungal agent. They bind to the intestinal epithelial cells (thin layer of cells on the gut barrier). This can disrupt the cell membranes and create leaky gut which can cascade into digestive disease and autoimmunity.
Glycoalkaloids are heat-resistant, so they are not completely destroyed by cooking. Frying can particularly increase the concentration of glycoalkaloids, and countries with highest consumption of fried potatoes also have highest rates of IBD (Inflammatory Bowel Disease).
"Health experts" agree that the consumption of these long term is unknown. The argument that millions of people have been consuming these for years as evidence for being "non-toxic" is poor understanding. Disease progression can manifest slowly and take years. So again, what's the dose?
Below is a video about Nightshades and their harmful effects:

There is. Look up "Golan heights autumn"
You also have to consider Arabs taking over the area in 600 AD. These creatures destroy everything, whether it be phones, melodicas, chairs and tables, computers, they destroy every valuable object for no reason, and there are millions of videos proving this. If you look at a map of where Islam is practised, and a map of deserts, you will see they almost perfectly overlap
Jeremiah 12:4 “How long shall the land mourn, and the herbs of every field wither, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein? the beasts are consumed, and the birds; because they said, He shall not see our last end.”
And if you accept Christian framework (because I do not know what your religion is), you have to consider a lot of things
What is roughly modern-day Israel, Lebanon and parts of surrounding nations, is the promised land. It makes no sense for God to have the Israelites travel for hundreds of miles through deserts for a low-tier land.
- Deuteronomy 8:8 "For the LORD thy God bringeth thee into a good land, a land of brooks of water, of fountains and depths that spring out of valleys and hills; A land of wheat, and barley, and vines, and fig trees, and pomegranates; a land of oil olive, and honey; A land wherein thou shalt eat bread without scarceness, thou shalt not lack any thing in it; a land whose stones are iron, and out of whose hills thou mayest dig brass."
(this is one of many examples of the Bible describing the land as being high-tier)
Vibrant colored trees are mentioned many times in the Bible, this is just a few examples
- Jeremiah 1:11 “Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Jeremiah, what seest thou? And I said, I see a rod of an almond tree.” - as you saw previously, oriental plane trees (almond trees) are white (though they can be pink also). Almond trees are mentioned many times in the Bible, this one just one example
- Hosea 14:5-6 "I will be as the dew unto Israel: he shall grow as the lily, and cast forth his roots as Lebanon. His branches shall spread, and his beauty shall be as the olive tree, and his smell as Lebanon." - Olive trees are also white-silver colored. Sometimes green and silver mixed.
(many more examples)
And as I mentioned previously it's not limited to only vibrant colored trees, but to many aspects of nature
- Numbers 13:27 “And they told him, and said, We came unto the land whither thou sentest us, and surely it floweth with milk and honey; and this is the fruit of it.”
I'm not saying it's just a desert, this region is called the Fertile Crescent. However, if there was no dense forest like the one you presented two hundred years ago, why would there have been one 2000 years ago?
Let me guess, you believe Ancient Israel was populated by brownoids, and it was all deserts and shrubs
Matthew 6:20-23
"But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!"
Where you lay your treasure your heart will be also. If your eye sees light, you will be full of light, and if you see darkness, you will be full of darkness. Today the world is filled with degeneracy, ugly buildings, individuals, and beliefs. Hence why so many picture the literal promised land to be desolate rather than lush and beautiful
As for proof,
Here you have many vibrant colored trees native to the Middle East, they are very scarce today, but they were far more abundant in the past: (photos after this message)
- Judas tree (Pink)
- Cassia tree (Yellow)
- Persian Ironwood (Yellow, Orange, Red)
- Lebanese maple tree (Red)
- Oriental plane tree (White)
- Black diamond cape myrthle tree (Black)
- Greek Juniper (Blue)
And many others. And this is only trees, there's tons of other vibrant colored forms of foliage
Seriously ? I really wonder if you all care about the truth or just like your biases.
