Opposite to the zodiacal light, there is a weaker glow called the gegenschein, meaning "opposite glow" in German. This phenomenon is directly opposite to the zodiacal light in the sky. 📌While zodiacal light is a fascinating sight, it can be troublesome for space telescopes, especially those observing in the infrared range.
