ETC Going to a New Hights !!! After 43 years of ministry, the Evangelical Theological College (ETC) launched its first PhD Program in Educational Studies on July 3, 2026. We praise God for ushering ETC into a new era of equipping servant leaders for the Ethiopian Church and beyond. ​We are deeply grateful to the Lord for bringing this institution to such a milestone. ETC had a humble beginning, starting underground in 1983 when Ethiopia was under a communist regime. What began with a single diploma program now offers—by the grace of God—two undergraduate programs, seven Master's programs, and now a PhD in Educational Studies. What makes this new PhD program unique is that it is the first of its kind, offered exclusively at ETC. We praise God for bringing qualified and capable men and women to study in this program. ​The inauguration of this PhD Program was a joyful celebration, graced by the presence of ETC board members, faculty, staff, EKHC Church leaders, invited guests, and, most importantly, the new PhD cohort. We thank everyone who has contributed to helping ETC reach these new heights! ​It was also a true joy to have Dr. Vic Anderson—a former Academic Dean and faculty member at ETC, who has been serving as the PhD program director at Dallas Theological Seminary—teaching the very first course for our inaugural cohort.
