Je ziet de stenen op de rivierbedding; ze hebben niets gedaan om je te plezieren. Toch ben je gelukkig, omdat je ze accepteert zoals ze zijn en dat stemt je tevreden. De rivier stroomt op zijn eigen manier en dat stoort je niet. Je verlangt niet van de rivier om voller te zijn of om in een andere richting te stromen. Sterker nog, je zoekt juist de natuurlijke plaatsen op, omdat deze de ontevreden persoon, de boze, moeilijk te plezieren persoon die je lijkt te zijn, niet opwekken. De veeleisende snaar in jou wordt door hen niet geraakt. Je bent één met de situatie, een groothartig zelf, zonder dat je iets van de wereld nodig hebt om jou te plezieren. Dus in relatie tot een aantal dingen ben je een tevreden persoon. Dat is de wig die je in jezelf kunt creëren. Als je naar de bergen gaat, dan doen de bergen niets om je te plezieren, maar toch tref je jezelf aan als een tevreden persoon. That is the wedge you can create in yourself. When you go to the mountains, the mountains do nothing to please you, yet you find yourself a satisfied person. Ik zie boven en beneden is hier in een perfekte spiegeling laat de wereld zich zien. Ondersteboven van geluk opent zich het verborgene Je kan er zus naar kijken of zo maar waar anders is het Leven hier in mij zo dichtbij. De rivier in mij danst met het Leven veroorzaakt golven en baren die verlichten, verzwaren. Wat maakt het uit? Boven en beneden is hier maar hoe stil is de rivier in de perfekte reflektie.
