It's been almost a month since I last posted in this channel. I haven't forgotten. But I'm very busy at the moment.
I read a really good article this morning.
It comes from the CEO of open AI.
It's about how to be successful.
Enjoy it.
I'll be back soon.
I need to get better organized.
For those who want to read me. I publish 5x a week in my newsletter.

| 2 | Wrote something this morning.
A few thoughts about the future ahead of us.

| 3 | Action > Everything
We can take any theory.
Any book.
Every idea.
It's all imaginary.
As long as it's not coupled with action: it's worthless.
There's an epidemic of "I don't dare."
All this unrealized potential is a waste.
Destiny is binary.
Either you dare and you try to choose.
Or you don't dare and you're sure to endure.
Choose your side correctly.
There are consequences. | 0 |
| 4 | I'm not dead. Or maybe I am. Because to live intensely. Is to die many times. After this cryptic introduction, back with an observation.
Observation of a discussion. One guy asking another. He wanted to be braver. More confident. Wanted to be able to realize his plans.
In short, the guy who wanted to improve his life but was starting from a long way off. His friend tells him: "It starts at the gym."
To which he replies: "That's the same advice Internet gurus give, as if the gym has all the answers."
I don't get into people's conversations. But yes, the gym has all the answers.
You go to the gym, it changes your physiology, it regulates your hormones. It will create a much more powerful mental health.
Then it refines your body, making you feel more beautiful, stronger, sharper. Which will boost your self-confidence.
So, yes, it all starts at the gym.
The first guy. He's just a coward who doesn't want to suffer. He responds with sarcasm to justify his cowardice.
Maybe he wants to learn to be brave without showing any courage?
The irony is the gym may be the only fix to his cowardice. Because the more you suffer in the gym, the more you build up your resistance to suffering and mechanically: you're less a coward.
But that's something he'll never find out. | 0 |
| 5 | Movie recommendation: The Founder
Not the film of the century, but an interesting one about the man who developed Mac Donalds.
With a key message: you're never finished.
You need to be nourished by films about entrepreneurship.
The Founder.
The Social Network.
Pursuit of happiness...
There are also niche series.
Silicon Valley
How to make it in America
Watch documentaries.
Read biographies of those who have succeeded in the niche you're interested in.
If you want to transcend your social class, it's going to be a long journey. Only in this kind of media can you find a real dose of reality.
Someone was talking today : "It's no use, there's social determinism and those who manage to rise are just survivors."
Even if there's a chance in 1000 to rise and improve one's condition. I'd rather try than accept a fate I don't want. | 0 |
| 6 | Movie recommendations : The great Gatsby
I saw this film this week.
I'd never read the book.
It was full of life lessons. Poetically told.
I don't want to spoil, nor do I want to do the work for you.
There are many important themes explored.
Friendship, love, ambition, trust, why we do certain things.
The Great Gatsby is a cautionary tale.
Some will see it as a story. They'll consume and forget about it.
Others will understand the hidden and precious messages the author wanted to convey.
They may find it useful for a lifetime. | 0 |
| 7 | What is intelligence?
Everyone will have their own definition.
To me, theoretical intelligence is of little interest.
Intelligence is how you use it.
Being able to adapt to every situation.
To survive life's tests.
Maximizing strategy with the cards we've been dealt.
We're certainly not all equal when we are born into this world.
But we are all equal when it comes to choosing how to use our daily time.
Some use it to build themselves.
Others to destroy themselves.
It's impossible to be perfect.
To do nothing but build yourself up.
We all have our vices.
My definition of intelligence would therefore be the result of the daily calculation: construction - destruction.
If the result is positive: you're intelligent.
If the result is negative: not good
The more positive the result: the more intelligent you are.
The more negative the result: ...
Added to this is the variable of time.
Anyone who can build himself over a long period of time is intelligent.
They're able to outwit life's traps, and that's proof of their sagacity.
This definition doesn't exclude anyone. As long as you try: you're smart. | 0 |
| 8 | You might think
"Why does he write every morning."
It's fun and it's free.
But if I write every morning, it's not for others, but mostly for myself.
I don't remember which author said this, but every morning, he sits down for 3 hours and writes.
According to him: "Even without talent, if you're diligent, if you train your art every day, without failing, a talent will emerge, maybe even genius."
I just follow his advice.
My goal is to write.
To write beautiful books.
Words that will give strength.
I don't know if I have the talent.
But I'll find it through repetition.
I practice and I write.
And I thank you for reading.
Whatever you want to excel in.
Here's the simple solution.
Every day: practice. | 0 |
| 9 | Little mental hack when you're facing difficulties.
Ask yourself this question?
What would ? do ?
This? It depends on who you admire.
When I run, when I try to give my all, when I try to beat a personal record: I suffer.
In the worst moment, I say to myself: what would Eliud Kipchoge do?
I imagine he'd bear the pain and keep going. And I give it my all.
When I encounter difficulties. I say to myself: what would Muhammad Ali do?
The man faced the United States head-on in the Vietnam War. In the era of the great irresistible United States. He pushed the state before the Supreme Court, which ... ruled in his favor. He risked everything. Was ruined by his legal battle. His friends told him to give up, to negotiate. But he didn't throw in the white towel and ... won.
So I close my eyes. I imagine Ali ruined, with a country against him, public opinion overwhelmingly against him, his friends doubting him, the threat of never being able to box again, his name tarnished.
And I ask myself: what would he do if he were in my shoes? I know he wouldn't give up and fight.
I don't have one tenth of one hundredth of the courage of these two men. But I close my eyes and try to imagine.
Take as a reference the people who most inspire you.
When the going gets tough, imagine you're them.
Think, breathe and find strength in their example. | 0 |
| 10 | I got some really bad news yesterday.
The kind that ruins your day, your week, your month.
Maybe even a few.
I sat down, asked myself, "What to do?"
Nothing, except stop letting my emotions ruin my life.
It sucks.
This is going to be another ordeal.
But apart from gritting my teeth and facing it.
What's there to do?
Nothing.
So, I calm down.
I think.
Emotions are the enemy of rationality.
If you let them get the better of you, you're bound to lose.
Yesterday was a disaster.
I can make today a great day.
I'll do it.
Or at least, I'll try.
Have a nice day. | 0 |
| 11 | I'm back to the rhythm of a short post a day.
It will be a message, each morning, to kickstart your day.
I often receive messages from young people who feel in difficulty.
I talked about this last time, and I'd like to offer another perspective.
You're never done.
Someone was telling me about this guy in his fifties. He hated his life. Average life. Average job. But far from being that average person who'd given up on his dreams. He'd tried and tried and tried.
At a time when many are preparing for the last part of their lives. He wanted to succeed. Whatever the circumstances. He wanted to make it.
When I speak of success, I mean breaking through his social condition. To break out of his socio-economic class.
So he kept trying.
His wife didn't understand.
"Why? she asked. Why can't you be satisfied with what you've got? You've got a job, we have some money. Why try?"
Let me tell you something. If you've got the fire in you. You're special. Wife and family. No one will understand your motives.
Don't look to them for support.
This man kept trying. He took gigantic risks for yet another business deal and...
He succeeded. A massive success of unimaginable proportions, even for himself.
You're never finished.
You have unlimited bullets.
Life is hard.
Every day is a fight.
But...
You can let yourself be beaten by adversity and lose.
Or try until you win.
Have a good day. | 0 |
| 12 | Today, someone thanked me because my encouragement had pushed him to do better.
But what he didn't know was that someone had encouraged me to do better when I was at my lowest.
If I write every day, cause of him.
Life is a cycle.
Kindness is free.
It costs zero to say thank you.
To tell a parent you love them.
To call a grandparent and light their day.
To tell a friend that you believe in him.
To give courage to someone in difficulty.
These few words can change everything.
You have a great power.
Use it. | 0 |
| 13 | There's a myth that exists, "the eternal return."
The myth is "We live our lives as an infinite loop."
It's a myth, I don't believe it, but it doesn't really matter.
Another philosopher proposes an interesting experiment on this idea.
You're rubbing a lamp.
A genie appears.
You get a wish.
"When you die, I give you the chance to relive your life, with your sorrows, your joys, your sufferings, your victories ... exactly the same life. The same experience.
What do you choose?"
If the answer is No, you have a part of your life left to turn that No into a Yes.
If the answer is yes, I think you're on the right track in this experience that is life. | 0 |
| 14 | No philosophy this morning.
Just encouragement to have a great week.
Do your exercises.
Watch what you eat.
Get rid of that industrial crap.
Enjoy the little things.
A sunset.
The weather, nature, flowers, animals...
Say I love you to the people you love.
Give attention to what's important to you.
I told you no philosophy...
But as I wrote these lines, I thought of these lines
"And therein lies the whole of man's plight. Human time does not turn in a circle; it runs ahead in a straight line. That is why man cannot be happy: happiness is the longing for repetition."
Which connects to these words
"Living, there is no happiness in that. Living: carrying one's painful self through the world.
But being, being is happiness."
More being, less hoping.
Life's short.
Take care | 0 |
| 15 | The whole Internet has become one giant funnel.
Almost every piece of information is designed to make you buy something.
Or to extract as much of your attention as possible and trade it for advertising revenue.
The web is hostile territory where everything is done to attack your brain and manipulate your will.
- use the internet to educate yourself
- if you don't earn money from it, don't use social networks
Socialize in the real world.
Have fun in the real world.
Your attention is worth a lot.
Stop giving for free.
Stop giving it to your enemy.
The Internet is a fake friend. | 0 |
| 16 | If you know that one of your behaviors is harmful.
And you continue to do it.
You're the problem.
And you'll never make progress until you get to the root of the problem.
I know some things I do are wrong.
And I keep doing them.
Who's to blame?
Except myself.
You have to take responsibility.
Or you'll never be able to change your life.
Today, I made a clear decision to stop hurting myself.
And I'm going to stick to it because it's the only thing to do.
Whatever demons you're fighting.
Face them.
Be brave.
They can be defeated. | 0 |
| 17 | I had this girlfriend.
She spent several hours cooking for me.
I could tell it meant a lot to her.
The taste was terrible.
I'm sure a whole bag of spice fell into it.
Ate everything.
Poker face.
Told her it was excellent.
She was happy.
It made me happy.
When someone do something for us.
It's our duty to honor it. | 0 |
| 18 | The grind never stops.
"When can I finally get some rest?"
The real answer is: never in this life.
Maybe in the one after that.
Life is a clever mix of constant progress or risk losing everything.
We idealize the fact that one day, we'll be able to stand on top of our mountain and contemplate our empire.
But the truth is, there will always be something else to build.
It may be something smaller than the one we've built, but we've got to keep moving.
If we're content to enjoy the view from above, we'll fall into the deadly sins.
We're heading for our own destruction.
So no, the grind never stops.
Maybe it slows down.
But as soon as we stop making progress.
We regress.
And when we regress too much, we die.
Keep moving. | 0 |
| 19 | Hey
I have received messages from young people who feel lost in this world.
Inflation, problems, war ...
Some tell me
"I can't see the future, I feel like I don't have one.
I'll never be able to buy a house. I feel like I'm stuck.
I'll work all my life. I feel hopeless."
As these messages multiplied, I did a little research on the Internet. I could see that a lot of young people feel this way.
And I totally understand: your pain is valid.
Life is hard.
There are many challenges to overcome.
Your generation faces difficult obstacles.
This morning, I just wanted to say that I'm thinking of you.
I know the pressures of life can be overwhelming.
But we survive and we get stronger.
It sure isn't fair.
Why is it that some have had an easy life and a generation has to deal with it all this crisis, one after another.
But we have to keep standing.
Get back on your feet.
Stand tall.
Take a breath.
Find solutions.
Survive.
There was a time when I thought I had no future.
I was alone, with two babies.
I had no strength left.
It was too much to handle.
I wanted to give up.
I just survived one day at a time.
It was hell on earth.
Today, I'm glad I didn't give up.
Don't give up.
Behind the dark night comes the dawn. | 0 |
| 20 | This morning.
I didn't want to workout.
But I did.
Years go by.
I could deduce only one thing.
If there's a secret.
It's to do what you have to do.
Even when you're dying not to.
Activate your brain.
Make a list of the actions that will give you the best return on investment.
Pause your brain.
And do them.
Every day.
One after the other.
Relentlessly.
If there's a secret: this is it. | 0 |
