Supporting Girls’ Dignity. Strengthening Their Future. Rejoice Africa in collaboration with Cuso International has donated 34 boxes (over 800 pieces) of sanitary pads to Lem High School and Derartu Tulu High School under the project Empowering Women Teachers, Building Student Leaders. Through our observation, we identified a significant shortage and gap in access to sanitary pads for girls in schools. This challenge affects attendance, confidence, and academic performance. In response, we distributed sanitary pads to help bridge this gap and ensure that girls can continue their education with dignity and comfort. We strongly believe that empowering women and girls starts with meeting their basic needs. Accessibility to sanitary pads in schools is not a privilege, it is essential. Mastering Time, Mastering Life! Time is one of the most valuable resources we all have, yet most of us continue to struggle with managing it effectively. From balancing schoolwork and personal life to staying focused on goals……… That’s why we recently organized a Time Management Skills Training for Lem High School students, empowering our young leaders with practical tools to, plan, prioritize, and use their time wisely. Through interactive discussions and practical exercises, students learned how to set clear goals, avoid procrastination, and create daily routines that help them stay productive and focused. Beware of bias. A leaders who does not examine themselves will eventually harm the people they lead so self-awareness is not weakness it is the foundation of trust. When leaders discipline their own thinking and doing, organizations don’t need to discipline them. Strong internal discipline reduces the need for external discipline. Bias is when your thinking or judgment is influenced by your personal beliefs, background, preferences causing to feel or show inclination or prejudice for or against someone or something or stereotyping often without realizing it. Corruption is when someone abuses their power for personal gain intentionally and knowingly. It's dishonest or fraudulent conduct by those in power, typically involving bribery.
