Last 1 week strategy 1. Avoid every kind of new material which is being dumped in the market. New material should be taken at this point only if the quantity is very very less and you feel that it is important for the exam. Otherwise please avoid it 2. Repeated revisions of what you have already studied over a year is important because there is a mantra in this exam:Read a single book hundred times rather than 100 books one time 3. Keep solving questions till the day prior to the exam because it will keep in the loop of exam. There won't be any starting problems in the exam hall if you are in the mode of solving questions 4. Do not get nervous when you are solving questions at home if you do not know the answers of some questions as the question may or may not come in the exam. Even if it does remember you just need to score between 100 and 110 for the exam. Knowing all answers is neither feasible nor desirable 5. Do go through all subjects once within this week. It is easily possible through smart reading. What does it mean? A A. Focus on mark fetching areas. Looking at the trends of previous years I feel these will the priority areas of asking questions 1. Economy, Polity, S and T, Environment and Agriculture. These will be the dominant areas. 80% of questions are easily achievable. So focus more on these 2. History though more questions are asked the strike rate cannot be more than 50% so focus less 3. Geography just at the end do maps properly. Input output ratio is pretty efficient 4. Society and IR just do current affairs 5. And if you have lesser time and you want to cut down work just read current affairs of all the above subjects in the same order of priority and the related static portions of only those current affairs topics. This also works efficiently Finally a small advice to tackle nervousness Don't look at the entire syllabus at once. Depending on the priorities given above make a schedule of your own of a week and implement it blindly. Just look at that day's targets and to be even more specific and focused just think of one hour targets at a time. Looking at small bits rather than entire syllabus gives a psychological solace. And all your small targets will lead to achieving the goal on the D-day. Many aspirants will be feeling at this moment that they know nothing. It is a very common feeling. People who have cleared also felt the same way. It is logical as well to feel so. Since the syllabus is so large it is difficult to remember them all at once in a row unlike in your school or college days where there is a definite book which you had to study cover to cover. You will surely recall what you have read when you see the question in the exam hall on June 2. That is how human brain functions! All the very best!
