❇️ Clinical #Pearls : The Baveno VII conference recommended the use of carvedilol in patients with clinically significant PHT. A survival benefit in patients treated with carvedilol, an effect likely related to non-hemodynamic effects, such as the reduction of bacterial translocation and related systemic inflammation, which leads to a further increase in portal pressure.
