Repost from The Ivorsson Dilemma
I was going through my meme folder when I found this old British TV ad. The idea was obviously to instill in Whites that Black kids were cool, and that it's normal to fall over yourself to please them, but it's just so... weird. The way the White mother and daughter speak about the Black girl at the dinner table, it's like she's some kind of pet. 😂

Repost from Martin Lichtmesz (offiziell)
If you don't want to wait for my review, listen to me discuss with Millennial Woes why I think THE ODYSSEY is a really bad movie, even apart from the atrocious diversity casting:

A new Bowden deciphering challenge. There are three points in this speech that are difficult to make out. Can anyone help?
they will become friends and hostility will end. That is why [19:54 ???] 50,000 passports were disseminated in the Caribbean basin
Cockney if you can hear the bells: 20% of the [52:56 ???] — are non-white now, and so on
£400,000 by a private subscription, I think it’s [100:52 ???]. They got about a half of it

A kind comment from an American fan, regarding Rising Damp. I'd say it's a fundamentally English programme, but if this American enjoys it, maybe others would as well...?

Repost from MEMORIA NATIO
🇩🇪 It appears a migrant drove a car into an Antifa and LGBT festival in Berlin tonight.
Several people are dead and many more injured.
Antifa activists had just unfurled a “Refugees Welcome” banner minutes before a refugee ran them over...

Hilariously, I saw someone referring to the graphic style of these Euro banknotes as "Corporate Maastricht".

Repost from Endeavour
A proposed new design for the euro.
On a continent featuring countless extraordinary castles, palaces, and cathedrals, it's the institutions of vacuous, soul-crushing managerialism which the eurocrats choose to commemorate.

I can't believe this only has 5.2k views, so here it is again. Made seventeen years ago, yet as relevant today as ever:

Repost from The Fyrgen • ᚫᛚᚢ:ᚢᛚᚫ
What I meant… was that the TCBS had been granted some spark of fire–certainly as a body if not singly–that was destined to kindle a new light, or, what is the same thing rekindle an old light in the world; that the TCBS was destined to testify for God and Truth…These are the words of J.R.R. Tolkien in a letter he wrote to fellow TCBS member G.B. Smith. The TCBS (Tea Club and Barrovian Society) was a 'fellowship' formed by Tolkien and friends at school; a discussion group for honing their knowledge and wits. All but one other member of Tolkien's fellowship died in WWI. I offer this quote because it conveys what I love so much about Tolkien; He was not merely writing 'fantasy literature' for money or fame or as some superficial hobby. He was doing it because he believed he was rekindling an old light in the world; he was propagating ideas of beauty, honour, nobility, courage, sacrifice and truth. And he knew it. He meant it. Tolkien's Middle Earth works were not 'escapism' from the real world; they were a statement and a reminder of something the real world had lost or was losing. Briefly, on the topic of Tolkien's Catholicism: The man had been taken in by a Catholic priest when his Catholic mother died. He owed, or felt he owed, everything to the church. This was a time when (conscious) Paganism simply was not an option. In England, you were either a Christian or an Atheist, and no man who placed such importance in the 'flame imperishable' could even contemplate Atheism. The vital thing is that Tolkien held to a higher spiritual purpose, which exists (in a skewed form) in Catholicism. It was the closest viable option for a man of his time.
