Is it Safe to Live Near a Data Center? EMF Radiation Risks Explained - Environmental Health Sciences
......Data centers require massive electrical infrastructure to operate. This means new high-voltage powerlines and substations, industrial facilities built close to homes and schools, that will increase electromagnetic field (EMF) exposure to people. Research links this type of EMF exposure to childhood leukemia and other serious health and environmental impacts. However, the U.S. government lacks safety regulations to protect against health effects from chronic exposure to the EMFs from power lines and electrical infrastructure.
Risk mitigation, measurements, and full transparency are needed.......

It Appears That the AI Bubble Has Just Burst in China
"And now we see the bubble bursting."
A report from Reuters suggests that the AI bubble in China “has already burst.” Or it might be more apt to say that it shriveled like a rapidly deflating balloon: over the past four months, Reuters notes, the country’s STAR50 index of AI and semiconductor companies collapsed by 40 percent, wiping out $480 billion in market value. That is not a typo.

Anthropic warned of “AI worms” that may soon be able to break into your WiFi enabled TVs, cameras, and other devices, and use them as a breeding ground as they self-replicate and spread elsewhere. Anthropic, no stranger to dramatic and doomy proclamations, said that this threat might be mere months away, if AI models continue to improve at their current rate.

## Nine Bad Habits That Make the Brain Sluggish!
Online article — December 30, 2007
In modern society, fierce competition and growing pressure leave people’s brains generally tired and lacking vitality. To keep their minds youthful and creative, people today must avoid certain bad habits and pay attention to environmental factors.
### Overeating over a long period
Modern nutrition research has found that after overeating, levels of a substance in the brain called “fibroblast growth factor” rise significantly. These growth factors can increase capillary endothelial cells and fat cells, promote atherosclerosis, and lead to premature brain aging and declining intelligence.
### Neglecting breakfast
Skipping breakfast can cause blood sugar to fall below normal levels, leaving the brain without an adequate supply of nutrients. Over time, this harms the brain. The quality of breakfast is also closely related to intellectual development. Studies have found that children who eat high-protein breakfasts generally sustain optimal thinking in class for longer, while vegetarian children’s mood and energy tend to decline more quickly.
### Eating too many sweets
Children who eat too many sweets often have lower IQs. This is because brain development depends on adequate protein and vitamins in the diet. Sweets can harm the appetite, reduce food intake, and decrease consumption of protein and various vitamins, leading to nutritional deficiencies that affect brain development.
### Not getting enough sleep
Sleep is the brain’s main way of recovering from fatigue. Long-term lack of sleep or poor-quality sleep accelerates the decline of brain cells; even a smart person can become muddle-headed.
### Smoking for a long time
Research by German doctors has shown that long-term smoking causes varying degrees of shrinkage in brain tissue and makes people more susceptible to dementia. Long-term smoking can cause cerebral atherosclerosis, eventually reducing the brain’s blood supply and causing nerve cells to degenerate, followed by brain atrophy.
### Speaking very little
The brain has regions specifically responsible for language. Speaking regularly also promotes brain development and exercises brain function. People should talk more about subjects that are substantive and have strong philosophical or logical content. People who remain silent and unsmiling all day are not necessarily intelligent.
### Sleeping with your head covered
When people sleep with their heads covered, the concentration of carbon dioxide under the covers rises while the oxygen concentration continues to fall. Breathing damp, stale air over a long period is extremely harmful to the brain.
### Avoiding mental effort
Thinking is the best way to exercise the brain. Only by using the brain often and thinking diligently can people become smarter. Conversely, avoiding mental effort accelerates the brain’s decline, and even an intelligent person can become foolish.
### Working or studying while ill
Forcing yourself to study or work when you feel unwell or are sick is not only inefficient but can also damage the brain.
In addition, the brain is the organ in the body that consumes the most oxygen, using an average of 500 to 600 liters of oxygen per minute. Only an adequate oxygen supply can improve the brain’s efficiency. Therefore, when working or studying, be sure to maintain good air quality in your surroundings.
