The index must hold above the 55,500 zone for an upward move toward 56,000, then 56,161 levels, while on the downside, support is seen at 55,250, followed by 55,000.

The index defended the 24,500–24,450 support zone and remained within the broader high-low range of 24,500–25,000. A break below the lower range may expose the index to the crucial 24,400–24,370 zone, which is considered a make-or-break area for the market. A breakdown below this zone could lead to increased selling pressure. However, if buying support emerges, the immediate resistance is seen at 24,600–24,700, followed by 24,900.
YES Bank: The lender's board approved a fundraise of up to ₹16,000 crore through a mix of equity and debt. The bank plans to raise ₹7,500 crore via equity issuance and ₹8,500 crore through debt securities.

Sun Pharmaceutical Industries: The pharma company said that it will discontinue development of its experimental oral drug, SCD-044, following disappointing results in Phase 2 clinical trials for the treatment of moderate to severe psoriasis and atopic dermatitis (eczema).
Kaynes Technology: The company proposed an additional investment of up to $8.8 million to acquire up to 8.71 million equity shares of Kaynes Holding Pte. Ltd, its wholly owned subsidiary, at an issue price of $1.01 per share.
