| 7 |  I don't know whether humans have souls, but I think it is essential that we behave as if they do. If we don't, humans lose their sanctity and become nothing more than persuadable meat, or in Harari's terminology, "hackable animals".
Usually there is a choice in how to perceive something, and that choice will be guided by your situation or your nature. I don't trust the nature of men who choose to perceive humans as "hackable animals", when they have the option to perceive them as innately meaningful beings. The nature that makes such a choice seems like one that can lead to no good.

| 12 | Some days it is hard for one to not feel a little 'blackpilled' - I have referenced this before - poetry is a niche within a niche. Most of 'our guys' want to debate policy and geopolitics. The arts sometimes rarely gets a look in except when seen as useful propaganda not an end in itself. Those days seem to get further away though, small incremental progress keeps happening.
Believe it or not this November will be the 5 year anniversary of the journal. Despite hiatus, mothballing, creative droughts, dead interest and everything else it has endured and is more popular than ever.
I have been fortunate enough to (almost) fill the last two months with poems every Tuesday and Thursday, with a majority of them being new poets. Truly that has been a great feeling. Just yesterday three submissions appeared at once! The talent continues to show itself and people continue to take an interest.
We're approaching the end of June and I'll be gifting a year long subscription to Imperium Press's Substack again to my favorite poem of the month. This promotion will continue to run through July and August.
I will say however the only way the Telegram grows is people sharing to other channels, all the outreach I do sometimes pales in comparison to the right share by the right person.
