People often ask me, “Why don’t you promote your GATE courses aggressively?” The answer is simple. I don’t believe the quality of an educational course should be decided by marketing. It should be decided by the success of the students who use it. Over the years, my courses have been tested by thousands of students, including many who secured excellent GATE ranks. Their results speak much louder than any advertisement ever could. In fact, the majority of students who enroll today don’t come because they saw an ad. Another reason is that I’d rather spend my time improving the courses than promoting them. Every hour spent on marketing is an hour taken away from students and from researching better ways to teach core subjects like machine, power system and power electronics.
