For the last couple of years I have been working somewhat intensively with the African master plant teacher. This medicine has been carried by the Bwiti tribe for thousands of years as one of the oldest standing tribal traditions on the planet. Its results have been profound for me- and at a point where I already thought I had levelled up so much - a new level arrived.. lol ! The call of this work has been deepening with me to the point that I am now undertaking a journey to Gabon in July to work with the tribe directly. As such I'LL BE TAKING A BREAK FROM SERVICE ALL OF JULY AND THE SHOP WILL BE CLOSED - so before I go to help you stock up while I'm gone - here is a special gift of 20% off all items in the shop this Sunday & Monday. ALL YOU NEED TO IS HEAD TO THE SHOP AND THE DISCOUNT IS AUTOMATICALLY APPLIED AT THE CHECKOUT

What a beautiful message in song form - men track your women’s bleed 🩸 - with beautiful imagery and choreography ❤️ https://youtu.be/OiXIcPa0SW8?is=rUSBWQHYBz15AMxp

The Summer Solstice marks the peak of light in the wheel of the year—a turning point before the gradual return toward the darker half of the cycle. It invites us to pause and notice what is illuminated, both in nature and within ourselves. Every ending contains a beginning. Every season opens the door to a different kind of growth. Cycles is a reminder of this truth: that life moves in patterns, not permanence, and there is wisdom in trusting each phase of the journey. As the sun reaches its height, may we remember our place within these natural rhythms of expansion and return. To celebrate the summer solstice here’s a playlist collaboration from a group of amazing artists to celebrate the summer solstice … LISTEN HERE ☀️💛 🌻 https://open.spotify.com/playlist/3YFIXPy71HdFEdvjfFBYmZ?si=h4zphbYgTl6Mx9iXU0fG2A&pi=gw-i5sJOS_enL

I'm delighted to introduce Maya - the first single being released from my forthcoming EP 'Songs with Spirit' In Buddhist thought, Maya is the illusion — the veil that makes the world seem solid, permanent, and ours to hold onto. But everything shifts and changes. Trying to hold onto it is like trying to stop sand falling through our fingers. “Maya” is about that moment you realise everything is impermanent - except the soul. The soul is the part that knew all along, that remembers the illusion even when the mind is lost. Why do we love things we can’t keep from when letting go of them causes suffering ? Why do we chase meaning into things that dissolve. Mistaking reflections for truth.   A Buddhist teaching says: If we mistake a rope for a snake — the “snake” disappears not because you destroy it, but because you see clearly. Maya is the snake - the mistaken appearance projected onto reality which can unlike the rope also we are fearful might hurt us!   Through practices like mindfulness, meditation and yoga one can gain perspective, let go of the grasping and create space between perceptions and reaction and grasp the rope ! https://hypeddit.com/ellechaska/maya1

3 weeks to go until we hold a 4 day retreat in Norway - flights from London are around £80 … we have a couple of spaces left Just look at the incredible purity of those landscapes and the colour of the water … wow ! We are super lucky to have this invitation from Mørten - many of you have worked with him before and we will be staying at his families traditional Norwegian farm which of course has a sauna !

Last year at this festival I hit a low point in my musical journey 😔 I was full of excitement to play at this festival for herbalists as being a herbally inspired musician is a pretty niche area of music so I figured this would be the perfect audience. The speaker before me had over 200 people in the tent hanging on every word they shared, so I was beyond excited to take to the stage and share my plant songs with fellow plant hearts. 🌿💚 But then it all went pear shaped … 🍐 (sorry pear I don’t know why we say that I love pears and their shape!) The MC forgot I was coming on stage, everyone left the tent, I had to remind the mc I was coming on next and was then just announced as “acoustic music” not even with my name or what I was singing about - like some kind of infill ‘lounge music’ between these academic talks on plants. Pretty much the only people left in the tent were my friends and a few people at the back of the tent talking whilst ordering drinks as the bar had just opened. I was crushed - I felt completely unseen and a kind of deflation set in which lasted some time. I thought “If I can’t find an audience at a herbal festival how will I ever get these songs to the audiences they were intended for?” I left the festival early, went home, worked through the disappointment and woundings that had surfaced, dusted myself off and got onto the next stage. I did also send an email with feedback to the festival - not to rant but just so that they can take better care of their artists in future. Sharing our arts (our he-arts 💚) can be a delicate journey and we need all the support and encouragement we can get ! It helps us to keep going in the times when it feels tough . So I am super grateful to those of you who have sent words of encouragement and support over the years - as an artist I really value those little breadcrumbs on the trail that help to sustain the journey. 🙏💞🌿

Another kids song from me today 🤸‍♀️ 🎶 🐣 🌱 “There’s a herb for that” is a fun and relatable story song about a herbalist mum whose children keep getting into scrapes as they frolick about in nature - of course she has a herb to hand to help in every situation … Its simplicity is part of its charm - just me and the guitar ! Grateful for any follows and shares on Elle Chaska seedling songs - this is a separate profile to Elle Chaska so needs a bit of a boost to get going ❣️ https://open.spotify.com/album/6YnCzXXWTg3dh9cu4oepT1?si=_9G7NgfBTkSCqo5riPeamw
