Context: 75 years of the establishment of the Supreme Court of India. I found this video to be helpful for Mains. Watch the video and make note of the important judgements mentioned in it. The video has talked about cases related to criminal justice system, women's rights, reproductive autonomy, third gender, etc. Many questions in GS2 directly ask you to 'explain using relevant cases'. Other questions might not directly ask you to write cases but have an implicit demand. Either way, it always helps to have landmark judgements in your arsenal. For Prelims: You should know the Origin and Evolution of Judiciary in India: Regulating Act of 1773, High Courts Act of 1861, GoI Act 1935, etc. Click here to watch the video. 📎 For all your Prelims related doubts, reach out to me @prashantgupta23.

⛳️ Superconductors Important as they have asked 3 D Printing, Web 3.0, CRISPR etc in the past. Superconductors too have game changing applications in present and future. News: ✅ A group of South Korean scientists recently claimed the discovery of a material named LK-99. According to their reports, LK-99 is a superconductor at room temperature and pressure. This groundbreaking claim(the paper is in prepublishing stage and is being peer reviewed ) has captivated the scientific community and could potentially transform electrical conductivity and technology. ✅ The phenomenon of superconductivity, discovered by Heike Kamerlingh Onnes in 1911, has long fascinated scientists. However, achieving superconductivity has typically required extremely low temperatures, more than 250 degrees Celsius below zero. ✅ The discovery of LK-99 involved an unexpected material called Apatite. Apatites are minerals with a phosphate scaffold in a tetrahedral or pyramidal motif. The scientists started with lead apatite and substituted some of the lead atoms with copper, resulting in copper-substituted lead apatite, which they named LK-99. ✅ Prominent examples of superconductors include aluminum, niobium, magnesium diboride, cuprates such as yttrium barium copper oxide, and iron pnictides. Fundamental Principles: 1. Superconductivity: A phenomenon where certain materials exhibit zero electrical resistance and expulsion of magnetic fields when cooled below a critical temperature (Tc). 2. Critical Temperature (Tc): The temperature below which a material becomes superconducting. Currently, superconductivity can only be achieved at very low temperatures, typically more than 250 degrees Celsius below zero. Present State of applications(existing and probable) of Superconductors: Superconductors have diverse applications due to their zero resistance to electric current: 1. MAGLEV Trains:Enable frictionless, high-speed trains, such as Japan's MLX01 reaching 374 mph in 2015. 2. Medical Imaging: Crucial in MRI machines for detailed body scans and in SQUIDs for detecting weak magnetic fields in medical diagnostics. 3. Particle Accelerators: Essential for high-energy physics research, allowing particle accelerators like CERN's Large Hadron Collider to function. 4. Power Generation and Transmission: Superconducting generators and cables improve efficiency and stability in power grids, seen in projects like Detroit Edison and Germany's AmpaCity. 5. Electronics and Computing: Used in high-performance filters and potential future supercomputers due to their role in Josephson junctions and fast signal processing. 6. Military Applications: Used by the U.S. Navy for mine detection, submarines, ship propulsion, and reducing magnetic signatures; also explored for EMP devices and antennas. 7. Space Technology: Used in satellite stabilization gyroscopes and ultra-sensitive detectors for x-rays and light, like ESA's S-Cam. 8. Environmental Impact: Could reduce greenhouse gas emissions by enhancing power plant efficiency, supporting climate goals. To summarise: Superconductors offer energy efficiency by eliminating resistance, generate strong magnetic fields useful in MRI, have wide applications in various advanced technologies, and the potential discovery of room-temperature superconductors like LK-99 could significantly broaden their use and accessibility. Hi everyone, wanted to request you all something! Pls go through this sample questions (after reading the message) You all are solving ample of tests right? Take my word and add this 300 questions of current affairs knockout (super 300). It sounds like only CA practice but when you see the sample you will see many questions are static too, these are those topics which have been in news! We have created a triangle of Static, Current and PYQs! I really feel this 300 questions can give you 20+ thematic hits in Prelims 2026 (which means not exact same question but exact same topic) The reason I am so confident is, we have analysed various CDS, CAPF questions too, gone through actual newspaper snippets as can be seen in sample! Take my goodwill and along with that so many toppers who have passed this year, and try this once! Also all this is available for only 299!
