and yes, i know what you're thinking:
'you said you'd NEVER touch Base again' 😂
i did.
i've watched Base consistently fumble opportunity after opportunity that the trenches handed them
but one thing i've learned through multiple cycles of trading:
NEVER BE SENTIMENTAL ABOUT YOUR TRADING.
forget your biases.
forget your previous opinions.
LOOK AT THE DATA. LOOK AT THE FUNDAMENTALS.
and when i do that, something becomes VERY obvious:
Base has completely changed its positioning.
they saw what Robinhood did.
they saw what was happening on BNB.
and they are clearly making a much more aggressive push into the trenches.
idk what Cobie told them, but whatever it was...
they listened.
now, i'm NOT calling for a Base season.
hell, i don't even want one.
Robinhood is THE chain of this cycle.
BNB is probably a close second.
but it's absolutely ridiculous to think THE main Base runner of this new cycle tops out at just $40M.
think about the setup:
Base has the 3rd-highest TVL of ANY blockchain in crypto, behind only Ethereum and Solana.
that's MORE TVL than BNB
they also have provenance when they sent a lot of coins on their chain to billions last cycle, including $TOSHI which hit $1b+ (also a cat coin btw)
then you have Coinbase — by far the biggest crypto exchange in the US — with 100M+ users.
and we're watching runners on Robinhood and BNB repeatedly push to $100M+.
so you're telling me Base's runner of the cycle...
with all of that behind it...
tops at $40M?
and it's a CAT?
come on.
don't forget:
Base already ran $TOSHI — another cat — to a $1B+ market cap last cycle.
and they weren't even leaning into it anywhere near as hard as they're leaning into $BASECAT right now.
so to be crystal clear:
i'm NOT calling for Base szn.
i'm calling for $BASECAT to run into the hundreds of millions.
that's the thesis.
and i'm now positioned accordingly.
