Applications for the 39th Management Committee of the NUS Mathematics Society are now open! 🥳 The committee will serve as the management body of the NUS Mathematics Society in AY23/24. ALL current students not graduating at the end of this semester are eligible to apply. To apply, please fill out the application form by Wednesday, 24 May 2359. We sincerely appreciate all the contributions you have made to the Society thus far. 🤩 If you are eager to take a step further in serving the NUS MathSoc and the NUS students, you are most welcome to take on the role of a Committee member in the coming AY. Join us for an exciting research talk on Topics in Cryptography with Prof Prashant Nalini Vasudevan from the School of Computing on April 18th at S17-0404! 📚🔒 Prof Vasudevan will share his research on the theoretical foundations of Cryptography and its interactions with Complexity Theory. In addition, Ariana Goh, a year 1 mathematics student, will present her research publication in Cryptography and her research experience. Math majors who are interested in abstract algebra and its applications to Cryptography, or those who are considering an academic career in Mathematics are welcome to join. If you enjoy solving Sudoku puzzles✏️ and want to challenge yourself, this is the perfect opportunity for you.
