KEBAKARAN RUMAH DI JALAN SEMAUN SERIA MENGORBANKAN KANAK-KANAK BERUSIA 9 TAHUN
SERIA, Selasa, 7 Julai 2026 – Jabatan Bomba dan Penyelamat (JBP) telah menerima panggilan kecemasan kebakaran rumah di Seria pada malam 6 Julai 2026
Jabatan Bomba dan Penyelamat telah mengkerahkan seramai 10 orang anggota bomba dari Balai Bomba Seria diketuai oleh Timbalan Pegawai Balai, Mohd Zulkifli bin Mohd Tahir serta turut dibantu anggota dari Balai Bomba Kuala Belait dan Pasukan Bomba Shell.
Sampai dilokasi, didapati api besar telah membakar keseluruhan sebuah rumah yang diperbuat daripada kayu dan serta merebak sebahagian daripada rumah berdekatan akibat bahangan api.
Seorang kanak-kanak perempuan ditemukan rentung dalam kejadian kebakaran rumah tersebut dan pihak Bomba mengesahkan bahawa mangsa kanak-kanak perempuan yang berumur 9 tahun itu telah ditemukan oleh keanggotaan Jabatan Bomba dan Penyelamat di kawasan tingkat bawah rumah pada pagi hari ini.
Kebakaran tersebut telah melibatkan seorang warga emas berusia 72 tahun yang melecur dibahagian tangan segera dikejarkan ke Hospital Suri Seri Begawan dengan menggunakan ambulan.
Operasi pemadaman dilakukan dengan menggunakan 5 jet hos serta bekalan air diperolehi daripada pili-pili bomba berhampiran. Api dapat dikawal dalam tempoh satu jam.
Punca kebakaran dan anggaran kerugian masih dalam siasatan Jabatan Bomba dan Penyelamat.

HOUSE FIRE AT JALAN SEMAUN, SERIA
CLAIMS THE LIFE OF A 9-YEAR-OLD CHILD
SERIA, Tuesday, 7 July 2026 – The Fire and Rescue Department received an emergency call about a house fire in Seria on the night of 6 July 2026.
The Fire and Rescue Department deployed 10 firefighters from the Seria Fire Station, led by Deputy Station Officer Mohd Zulkifli bin Mohd Tahir. They were also assisted by personnel from the Kuala Belait Fire Station and the Shell Fire Brigade.
Upon arrival at the location, a large fire was found to have completely engulfed a wooden house and had also spread to part of a neighbouring house due to the heat from the fire.
A young girl was found dead following the house fire. The Fire and Rescue Department confirmed that the victim, a 9-year-old girl, was found by its personnel on the ground floor area of the house this morning.
The fire also involved a 72-year-old elderly person who suffered burns to the hand and was immediately rushed to Suri Seri Begawan Hospital by ambulance.
Firefighting operations were carried out using five hose jets, with water supply obtained from nearby fire hydrants. The fire was brought under control within one hour.
The cause of the fire and the estimated losses are still under investigation by the Fire and Rescue Department.

诗里亚 Jalan Semaun 房屋火灾夺走一名9岁儿童性命
诗里亚，2026年7月7日，星期二——消防与拯救局于2026年7月6日晚上接获一宗发生在诗里亚的房屋火灾紧急通报。
消防与拯救局派出来自诗里亚消防局的10名消防员赶赴现场，由副消防局长 Mohd Zulkifli bin Mohd Tahir 率队。此外，行动也获得马来奕消防局人员以及 Shell 消防队的协助。
消防人员抵达现场时，发现大火已经猛烈燃烧，并完全烧毁一间木制房屋。由于火势产生的高温，火焰也蔓延至邻近房屋的一部分。
在这起房屋火灾中，一名女童被发现已身亡。消防与拯救局证实，该名9岁女童的遗体是在今日早上由消防人员在房屋底层区域发现的。
这起火灾也造成一名72岁的年长者手部烧伤，并已由救护车紧急送往 Suri Seri Begawan 医院接受治疗。
灭火行动使用了5条水喉喷射水柱，水源来自附近的消防栓。火势在一小时内受到控制。

I used to work at a franchise café. I won’t mention the name, but if the shoe fits, wear it.
You know how almost every café, restaurant, or F&B place has a tip box? I always thought those tips would at least go toward staff welfare, especially during that “karing” season in the middle of the month when everyone’s waiting for payday.Sometimes we’d even exchange coins from the tip box if the cashier ran out of change, and we’d replace it with the same amount of cash. Then one day, this so-called “professional” HR told us that staff weren’t allowed to touch the tip box at all because the money was supposedly for the company, pop-up events, and other expenses.
Girl… I was shocked.Like, aren’t tips meant for the staff? Customers tip because we served them well and gave them good service. It feels strange if that money ends up being used for company expenses instead. I always thought it could at least go toward staff meals or some kind of employee welfare.
What do you guys think? Should tip box money belong to the staff, or is it okay for a company to use it for business purposes? | 558 |

unpopular opinion: trying to survive only on nasi katok/maggie/indomie is really unhealthy especially when you are sick, you still need to control your dietary, Brunei $500 min wage is not made for healthy standard of living. Some say you can cook, bring your own food but no one has the time to do that due to the amount of time we put just for working 9hrs per day, 6 days per weeks and most of our salary goes for commitment for our family. OMG I ALMOST GOT SCAMMED!!
This person whatsapp me wanted to order for an official event– ofcourse I got excited said yes walaupun HUGEEE qty due in 3 days! He even called me mau this and that (he sounded legit!) but then when he asked me to fill in the PO form, minta IC for payment process. But here is where it got SUSS When I asked for deposit since it was a HUGEE order, he could’nt (this was not our first order from the Navy so we know the drill!). My uncle asked his people and yuppp SCAMMER! This person does not exsist! Even the PO form it was addressed to a real higher up person but from a different Navy branch! Sukati bah pakai nama orang😳 macam si banar lagi tu suruh the cakes to be delivered to base. Imagine I actually fell for it, siang malam inda betidur buat cakes then deliver to that “event”, dah tah nada depo, RUGI berapa modal -$$$ sudah hangus tuuu. I worked at one of the company that i would say multi-million company in Brunei. But it does practices a nepotism, a hard core one.
Me and some other friends have benn struggling and busting our ass for the company but our KPI still only got C. But for those yang jadi kesayangan i would say, yang bkraja 'seasonal' saja, anu mukanya nampak bemusim sja, atu plg yg dpt A atau B. and this happened, almost every year. Plus, all most of them yg dpt A or B ani, memang jadi orang2 terpilih urang2 management. Kononnya:
1. Pandai bkraja, padahal urg management atu memilih staff that they keen into.
2. Urg2 pilihannya atu, malar kana bawa meeting tapi sebenarnya kosong. inda tau apa2. masuk k opisnya, antara hilang (kononnya eksen2 sbuk) atau mliat netflix sambil mempump susu utk anaknya (bukan untuk lakinya 😂).
3. Bkraja pun ikut season sja. Anu setahun sekali saja munculnya. Lps atu, kana puji mcm bkraja sepanjang taun. Iatah nganya yang pandai psl management kami nampak. Padahal kami urg bawah2 ani tau drg bkraja atu cemana.
4. If we (kami yg jarih2 bkraja ani) compare our workload with them, dui ma.. bukannya kan ambung, jarih lagi kami ani.
5. Plus, orang2 managent kami atu yg actively creating a toxic vibe, spreading cerita2 urg yg urg lain inda patut tau.
6. And selama ku bkraja dsana atu, inda pernah kami2 yg inda kana sayangi ani kana bagi ruang untuk bertanya apa kekurangan yang perlu kami baiki and perlu kami buat supaya performance kraja kmi atu makin baik and menepati kemahuan drg. Langsung nada. Yang kami dpt tau 1 saja, kami2 yg jarih ani bulan favourite dan urg2 kesayangan drg 😂 so drg biarkan saja.
7. Balum lagi ya menyumpah, pushing people, merendah2kan orang.. keturunannya sja yg sempurna, iatah nganya paling pintar. Tapi sebenarnya ya kosong, mcm nda tau apa2. And, yg hairannya, ya cuma membuat cematu arah urg yg dpt dmkannya. Bila arah urg yg ya tau memang melawan, inda ya cematu. mcm sibanar mcm ucing, bckp lamah lambut tapiiii mulutnya blakang2, memang puaka tu.
Some says, tunggu ya branti baru tah aman company atu. But if we just let it happen, it is unfair. Inda adil. The system is lurus tapi urg yg memigang system atu salah guna. Then digunakan lagi untuk mengugut, threaten staff nya.
Some of us did talk to one of the bosses tapi no respond. Just a counselling session yang ujungnya 'sabar saja ah..' 😂😂 Apa kan ni?
Plus, kami ani langsung bah nada kana antar training especially arah kami ani byk muda2, at least antar kah training untuk character development, managerial training kah apa kah. Alasan, NADA BUDGET!!! Asal kan dipropose untuk training, one of the management will say ' ani dpt ni kami mengajar eh' 😂😂 kalau tah banar bckp cematu, in-house training pun nada bah 😂 tapi inda kami mau one of them mengajar.. ya mentadbir companya ani pun mcm kapal pacah, inda btantuan, urg2nya saja jadi pilihan. Inda jua jua kami mau kana ajar barang2 cematu 😂😂 balum lagi bercerita pasal micro-management and too much hierarchy in making approval and decision 😂😂
And 1 lagi, drg management ani, suka membagi kraja arah staff bawahan tanpa pengetahuan boss department or officer incharge. Yatah kadang2 boss department or officer incharge ani mcm palui inda tau apa2. bukan sekali sekala tapi malar cemani ani.
Baru sikit ni. byk lagi sebenarnya. Jgn luan dibuka aib atu. Sebenarnya, this companya internalnya chaos. The system atu kana manage ulih urg inda pandai manage. Dari luar, urg mliat waah siuk eh.. tapi hakikatnya.. malas kan ckp psl sudah ku crita sikit di atas 😂
Inda tau tampat lain, but this is what happened in a company yg multi million dollar company, a company that i foresee can go more lebih baik dari ia masa ani. Dont say aku inda bersyukur tapi when this happened to you, are you gonna stay quiet? berdiam diri? indakan.. memang biskita pun inda puas hati kalau benda ani terjadi.
We need our new management, a younger generation that can drive and manage this company or at least someone have the charismatic and leadership to help managing this company. | 902 |
