all that just doesnt look normal at all i mean think about it , out of nowhere we first heard about some law is being made for protecting the children (yeah right) in one country no one cared or even asked for this shit then in a less than 6 month all the world is doing the same (global movement). huge mass surveillance centers is being build (data centers). all big tech try to control/watch you , you lose all your right in a night (rights to speak/own/etc) and all that happen at once. the huge advence in ai and the huge investment in it (and the first real thing they start using it in is surveillance and war), its even almost impossible to keep a track of all of it. call it a conspiracy if you want but that pace isnt normal at all (its like they have some kind of dead line) and it make me wonder what is the real motivation here ,what is the real goal (those assholes thinks 5 or even 10 steps ahead) . one of things that became obvious especially after what we learned (and who knows how much was hidden from us on purpose) from the Epstein files is that no matter what all these assholes are connected some how .

| 10 | Worried about the effects these ID laws will have on me.
As a disabled/neurodivergent adult who still lives at home with my parents and doesn't have access to my own documents, I'm worried about what these laws mean for me. I am very sheltered, and because my parents are very overprotective and paranoid, I don't get out of the house to socialize or make friends, and I'm unable to do anything with my life. So the internet (social media, specifically) is my socialization, and my support group and provides the only thing I'm able to do with my life (unbeknownst to my parents) which is posting my writing online (it makes me feel like a real writer and gives me some confidence in myself). If I wasn't in my situation and could make friends irl and go to in-person poetry readings, I absolutely would.
But the effects these laws will have on disabled and neurodivergent adults who are still living at home with their parents is a side of this whole thing that isn't talked about enough. We talk about privacy, censorship, and free speech, and rightfully so, because those things are very important. But I don't think some people think about the sheltered disabled and neurodivergent adults whose only socialization may be social media and whose only fulfillment in life is posting writing or art online and sharing it with the world. And many of these adults may not have IDs or if they do, they may not have access to them as their parents may have them.
I have an ID. But for many of my adult years, I didn't because my mom didn't think I needed one because she sees me as a kid and because I live with her and I never leave the house without her (because she doesn't let me). But even now, I still worry about whether or not she'll renew it when the time comes. By the way, it stays in her possession. But I'd be scared to hand over my ID to a social media site anyway for the same reasons as most people (data breaches, the risk of my ID being leaked and posted on some sketchy site, etc.) but also because I rely on anonymity to keep my mom from finding out about my social media pages or from finding out certain stuff about me (not bad stuff but we just wouldn't see eye to eye on certain viewpoints and such). And it wouldn’t be a good idea to have my real identity attached to any of my social media pages or my pen name (especially because of the situation I'm in). And I'm not doing anything wrong. I just want to socialize, make friends, and share my writing with the public so I can feel like a real writer.
If I have to leave social media or many of the apps that I use for communication, then I'm gonna lose a lot of friends and I'll have to stop posting my writing online and I'll be even more sheltered than I already am.
I hope I don't get any hate for this post. I posted in the vent sub earlier about my situation (I didn't mention anything about the ID laws that I can remember) and got some hate or comments that were less than supportive or understanding. People just don't understand disabled or neurodivergent adults, especially those in a situation like mine.

The KIDS Act (which includes a version of KOSA and a few other things) has passed the House of Representatives and now it goes to the US Senate in which they will vote to pass the bill. I hope it doesn't pass the Senate but my hopes aren't too high.

This bill that is looking to not just add age verification, but look to silence certain speech on the internet is being backed by both republicans and democrats, I get the feeling that if they are, then that means that both of those parties are censoring speech against them. This basicaly would mean that the internet is being turned into a war zone; repubs censoring dems, dems censoring repubs, or at least any critizism making them look bad.
It's just a thought. Whatever it may be, we have to stay strong and keep fighting against this corruption.

| 20 | I asked Instagram where I could submit a request to delete my data under GDPR specifically, they basically told me to suck it up
I emailed privacy support asking for resources on where or how to ask for data deletion under GDPR along with the deletion of my account since I couldn't find anything of the sort on the app or website.
They replied with some links redirecting to the same stuff you find on their website, and said they can't delete the account for me, which, yeah I knew that and wasn't asking for that.
I asked again, even more specifically now in a way they couldn't possibly deflect or interpret weirdly, and they wrote:
"Hi,
Based on the information provided, we
are unable to support your request
further.
Since we are treating this matter as
closed, any responses to this email will
not be monitored.
Regards,
Privacy Operations"
Does anyone know how on earth I can write to them about the request, if even possible? All I want is to make sure I submit a GDPR request so that I can delete my account peacefully (even if I know they of course won't delete all my data, but at least this way I legally asked them to), or would it just be better to change all my information on my accounts, wait for a bit so my old info gets overwritten hopefully, even if they'll keep all my saves and likes and archive, and then delete my account normally as you would do on the app or website without any sort of request?
