| 3 | Groundworks is an artist development programme for Singapore-based artists engaging with digital tools. Selected via public open call, the programme brings together five artists, facilitating mentorship and studio visits to strengthen each artist’s ability to develop ambitious digital works and articulate their practices.
Presenting Groundworks is the culmination of this process, gathering new works that address central preoccupations for each artist—as first articulations of a new direction, or extensions of ongoing lines of inquiry.
The programme is curated by Clara Peh, produced by Deanna Dzulkifli and Mary Ann Ng, presented by Common Protocol, supported by National Arts Council’s Arts x Tech Lab initiative.

In partnership with the National Arts Council, the IWP Fall Residency 2026 at the University of Iowa introduces up to two Singaporean writers to an international community of peers, mentors, and ideas at a UNESCO City of Literature.
Over 11 weeks, writers will have the space and exposure to deepen their practice and exchange with international counterparts. Fully funded, and open to writers working in any of Singapore's four official languages: English, Chinese, Malay, and Tamil.

A solo exhibition by Syafiq Halid
🥁 Aku Bersaksi… (IBear Witness…) is an installation that reimagines Aliwal Arts Centre as asentient archive for the arts. Drawing from principles of metaphysics, Syafiqenvisions the building as a jasad (vessel) that has absorbed years of artisticpractice within its walls—the rehearsals, failures, discipline, andtransformation of the many artists who have passed through it. The interactiveinstallation invites audiences to move through the space and interact with thematerials, while experiencing an original sound work created from fieldrecordings collected across the building, blending electronic and traditionalsounds.
