Some Authentic Supplications of the Prophet ﷺ. Alhamdulillah, today is a great opportunity to make as many supplications as possible as it is the day of Arafah! I remind myself first, and all of you as well, to approach this day with intention and to engage in dua and dhikr as much as we are able. This opportunity is not limited to those performing Hajj; it is a mercy that extends to all Muslims, wherever we may be. al-Haafidh Ibn Rajab (رحمه الله) said: “The day of ‘Arafah is the day of being freed from the Hellfire; on this day, Allaah frees from the Hellfire whomsoever stands at ‘Arafah (during Hajj) and whomsoever does not stand at ‘Arafah from the Muslims wherever they may be. For that reason, the day after became a day of Eid for all the Muslims in all of their lands, whether they witnessed this time (on the plain of ‘Arafah) or have not witnessed it due to them partaking in being freed from the Fire and obtaining Forgiveness on the Day of ‘Arafah.” [Lataa-if al-Ma’aarif p.276] May Allah accept from us and grant us success.

A supplication you should say every day and especially on the blessed day of Arafah! ‎Shaykh Abdurrazzaq al-Badr حفظه الله

Imām al-Awzāʿī رحمه الله said: “I met people who would save their needs for the Day of ʿArafah, so they could ask Allah for them. Some of them would say: ‘For fifty years, I have continued making duʿa on the Day of ʿArafah, and not a year would pass except that I would see its answer become clear, just like the break of dawn.’” Laṭāʾif al-Maʿārif (p. 494)

From the Rights and Etiquettes of the Masjid Al-Qurṭubī (d. 671H) رحمه الله quoted from some of the scholars a beneficial summary of the manners and prohibitions that should be observed in the masjid. He mentioned that some of the scholars gathered them into fifteen points, saying: From honoring the sanctity of the masjid is: 1. To give salām when entering if people are sitting there. If no one is present, one says: “Peace be upon us and upon the righteous servants of Allah.” 2. To pray two rakʿahs before sitting. 3. Not to buy or sell in it. 4. Not to draw an arrow or sword in it. 5. Not to announce a lost item in it. 6. Not to raise one’s voice in it except with the remembrance of Allah. 7. Not to speak in it with worldly conversations. 8. Not to step over people’s necks. 9. Not to dispute over a place. 10. Not to crowd or make things difficult for anyone in the row. 11. Not to pass in front of someone praying. 12. Not to spit, bring up phlegm, or blow one’s nose in it (i.e., without tissue). 13. Not to crack one’s fingers. 14. Not to fidget or busy oneself with any part of the body. 15. To protect the masjid from impurities, young children, the insane, and from carrying out legal punishments in it. And one should increase in the remembrance of Allah, the Most High, and not be heedless of Him. So whoever fulfills these qualities has fulfilled the right of the masjid, and it becomes for him a protection and fortress from the accursed Shayṭān. Tafsīr al-Qurṭubī / al-Jāmiʿ li-Aḥkām al-Qurʾān, 12/278.

Years of study, notes, lessons, reflections, and memories… all packed into boxes.
